Right in the heart of the city on the Ile de la Cité Place Dauphine is a historic location, having been built in 1610 at the request of Kind Henri IV. You will be surrounded by history while enjoying every modern convenience. We have remodeled the entire building, State of the art elevator, separate washer and dryer, high security digital locks and double-glazed windows for good sound insulation allows guests to enjoy contemporary comforts in a remarkable 17th century setting. Located on the fifth and sixth floors, the ONE BEDROOM PENTHOUSE Monbazillac boasts a comfortable queen bed, ensuite bathroom, a powder room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy a romantic dinner at your home away from home or open some French wine and take in the STUNNING VIEW FROM THE BEAUTIFUL BALCONY with a breath-taking vista of the Paris skyline including the towers of Notre Dame and the spire of Saint Chapelle. The penthouse is split over two floors with an internal staircase that leads from the bedroom and bathroom on the 5th floor to the living room, kitchen, powder room and balcony on the 6th floor. While the steps are well lit and wider than usual for staircases in France, it is not recommended for guests with mobility limitations. Just OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR is one of the most coveted secret spots in Paris, the beautiful Place Dauphine. The square is lined with historic buildings from the early 1600s and is full of trees and a few perfectly placed benches to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. It is also a popular spot for locals to play a game of pétanque, which you can enjoy watching in the square or just listen to the soft clink of the steel balls used in the traditional French game from your window. The area is also popular with lawyers who work nearby at the Palais de Justice, so there are excellent cafés and restaurants to enjoy. Things To Note: Max occupancy includes all members of your travel party, including children under the age of 2. There is an elevator to the property. Internal spiral stairs (13 steps) are steep and require extra caution when navigating to the second level. The property is not handicap accessible. The apartment is absolute perfection. I am afraid to say this because I don’t want too many people to know about it. The place feels like my own home away from home in Paris. Everything is so comfortable. The location is fantastic. The bakery downstairs fed me every day. The only item I could point out is that a few paint touch ups are needed and a few small repairs on cabinetry but other than that it is really idyllic. ##### James Z. We generally choose to stay on one of the two sister islands on the Seine when we're in Paris as they tend to be quieter and less trafficked at night. The flat came with all the amenities we could want for our weeklong stay and the outdoor terrace was especially appreciated as the weather was lovely and it was wonderful to sit and look out at the activity in the Place below. The bed and bedding was first-rate and the plumbing and electrical completely reliable. Having a lift, almost unheard of in these older buildings, was a real asset. The only criticism I can make is about the scarcity of storage space for clothing and luggage. There are two armoires provided in the bedroom but they are a bit too shallow to close the doors when filled with hanging garments and the room is too small for proper nightstands beside the bed. That said, we would definitely book one of these flats again and can only assume the rest of the properties these owners represent are equally as lovely and well-maintained. ##### Stan S. Check in process was fantastic! Natasja met us at the apartment and showed us all of the amenities - which were plentiful! The apartment has a washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove/oven, all the utensils you need. They provided a cute welcome basket and also milk and OJ! The apartment had tvs on both levels and 2 bathrooms. The balcony was the reason I rented this apartment to sit out and enjoy the view of the park and people below. It was perfect! Also every morning there was an umbrella stand with fresh baguettes which I particularly loved! There is also a lobby to the building, which is so nice as you can leave luggage there for later check in/checkout. There was even access to a printer and a toilet in the lobby! The elevator was also wonderful!!! My daughter and I appreciated the great communications before, during and after our trip that included a lovely welcome from Virgile upon our arrival. All amenities in the apartment were thought through and greatly appreciated as well and we often relied on the Paris Perfect recommendations and literature to plan our days. We will absolutely be back and will ONLY use Paris Perfect -- in fact, I feel at this point I only want to travel to locations where Madelyn has properties! Place Dauphine is so beautiful and special, and we loved the view from the bedroom and living room. The Paris rooftops and park was truly the best we have enjoyed in all 6 times we have stayed in Paris. The apartment kitchen and appliance left nothing to be desired. My mom and I stayed at the gorgeous Monbazillac apartment for a girls trip and absolutely loved it! The historic building was recently fully renovated and the location is in the best area of Paris. The central location allowed us to walk to everything, but the best part was coming home to one of Paris' oldest and most charming squares. Our mornings started with cafee & croissants on the balcony and our evenings ended with wine & cheese watching the sun set. We loved just taking in the peacefulness of Place Dauphine after a long day of exploring the bustling city. My mom and I discovered a lot of beautiful areas of Paris, but we both agreed that Place Dauphine was certainly a hidden gem that we cannot wait to return to. The Paris Perfect team was fantastic from start to finish and helped us create a very memorable trip! ##### Hannelie V.
