Family reunion

Incredible stay that complimented the occasion to incredible heights. The property is so centrally located (literally you look out the window and the Eiffel Tower is staring back at you. The metro is two minutes away. Every dining option is available to you right there. The apartment is well equipped for large groups and the host is extremely communicative. Could not have asked for a better stay.

Location is excellent with easy access to the metro, a pharmacy, restaurants, a small grocery store, and the Eiffel tower. Communication with Merveil Paris was consistently excellent. I highly recommend the add-ons of the breakfast delivery and the cab pick-up on the day of departure. Both were well worth the expense. The limited elevator access was rough as was the lack of storage to hang/ organize clothes. The washing machine was quick and quiet and the drying rack was helpful. Everyone enjoyed their own room and the apartment was very nicely decorated.

When I was looking for a three bath four bedroom home to rent we discovered that this apartment had three bathrooms, but only one toilet they were eight of us and the apartment was available for 12 people. Another problem was the elevator. It only worked from 9 AM to 6 PM Dailey we were all in our late 60s 70s and 80s a lot of of us with hip knee and ankle issues and it was virtually impossible for some of us to go up six flights of steps.Another issue is there was one key which could be stored two blocks away On a positive note, the apartment was very clean. It was within two blocks of a subway station. It was within 1 mile of the Eiffel Tower, and three blocks from the river. The location was fabulous.

Location is amazing. One toilet- 6 beds. We were fortunate enough to have people cancel, but the set up is only ideal for very “close” families. Do not go in a heat wave- there is no AC and the sixth floor sun- facing location turns this into a sauna that is warmer than outside most of the day. Elevator hack for those who hate 7 flights of stairs: only one person needs to go up and the rest can wait in the lobby. You can always call the elevator to the 6th floor, but evenings and weekends, you can’t go up.If you’re still here, the location is truly the saving grace. You have an amazing view of the tower if you stick your head out the window. The metro stop is less than a five minute walk, and there are walkable shops, restaurants, and a movie theater nearby.One of our highlights was the Italian restaurant across from where you’ll pick up your keys. Amazing pizza, pickled radishes and solid bottle of Bordeaux. Neighbors hate slamming doors, so expect several noise complaints. The heatwave definitely colored our review of this place, but fairly- location amazing, vibe good, needs AC &/or second toilet.

Worst Vacation Stay

Before booking the property, I asked if there was an elevator since the apartment is on the 6th floor. I was told there is, but it stops at 9 PM. We were a little uncertain but we figured we could be back from dinner by 9PM. When we checked in, we learned the the elevator only runs until 8PM and only Monday to Friday. Our check-out was Saturday, so we asked how are we supposed to get our 7 pieces of heavy luggage down 6 floors on a steep spiral staircase and they had no answers. We decided that we needed to find another place to stay, but we could only find 2 rooms in a nearby hotel. So, we moved the 3 ladies to the hotel on a Thursday so we could keep our dinner reservations at the Eiffel Tower that night. On Friday afternoon, the 4 guys moved their luggage to the hotel so we wouldn’t be faced with the issue of getting the luggage down on Saturday morning. All of this caused us a great deal of stress and we couldn’t really enjoy our stay in Paris. So, unless you’re a weightlifter and very strong, this isn’t a place to stay. Also, they list it as a “Luxury Apartment”, but it is actually just bare bones. The bedrooms are tiny with very little storage space. They told me that shampoo, conditioner and bath gel was provided, but none was. There is a washer/dryer combination the took 4 to 6 hours to complete a cycle. One night we ran it overnight and I woke up to pipes clanging at 3AM that kept me awake for 2 hours. It was the worst vacation experience I’ve ever had.

Im Allgemeinen war alles gut . Die Wohnung verfügt über 3 Badezimmer jedoch ist davon nur eine mit WC . Das war vorher unklar . Ansonsten war alles gut . Sauber und ordentlich.
