It is ideally located and is a short walk from many tourist attractions, trendy boutiques, art galleries, museums, markets, bistro and restaurants. Our 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of the Marais district is the perfect vacation rental for an insider Parisian experience. Our apartment successfully combines modern amenities and contemporary luxury with old world charm and beauty. Located in a 17th century “hôtel particulier,” our Paris flat has 3.5 meter (11.5 foot) ceilings, old wooden beams, large French windows, a stone 'decorative' fireplace and parquet floors. After entering the cobblestone courtyard of the 300-year old stone building, this triplex apartment is up two flights of stone stairs. The first level has a bright entryway, large living room connected to the dining room, fully equipped kitchen, master bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom (large enclosed tub with wall mounted shower), and a half bath and laundry room. The second level, accessed by an interior spiral staircase, has a second smaller bedroom with a double bed, a sizeably smaller third bedroom with a single bed, and second small bath with toilet and petite-sized stand-up shower. From the second bedroom, there is a ladder that goes up to a mansard mezzanine space with a single bed and lovely rooftop views, very suitable for a child. Our home can accommodate up to 4 adults + 1 child/teen of up to 16 years. We would like your stay at our home to be most comfortable vis-a-vis the space that we have in our home. \* This property can comfortably accommodate up to 4 adults, or max up to 5 persons if one of the guests are under 16 years old. You can write to the owner here if you have a 6th person who is also a child for consideration as we have an attic room which is comfy to sleep in for a child . \* Additional charge of $50 per night: If there are more than 4 adults, there will be an extra charge for the 5th person onwards. The additional charge will be waived for kids below 12 years old. The apartment was very cozy and comfortable. The stairs were a bit tricky - but we were prepared for that based on the listing. Great to find a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath place in Paris. The upstairs rooms are small but work. Up a spiral staircase to the apartment and the upstairs bedroom which is tough. Location was great. Walk to Metro, attractions like the Picasso Museum and Louvre, great restaurants. The temps were moderate in Paris during our visit so it was comfortable in the apartment (it is not air-conditioned). One queen bed plus 4 twin beds total. Large bathroom with tub/shower downstairs and a 2nd small bathroom with just toilet/sink. Upstairs is bathroom with shower/toilet. Spacious living room and kitchen is small but well stocked. Fabulous location too, short walk to Metro. Exceptionally clean with a nice kitchen and plenty of room to relax in the living and dining rooms. Great location - close to major attractions, we walked quite a bit and, for further destinations the metro was a short walk - also easy to hail a taxi or arrange for an uber. Our hosts were fantastic - responded quickly to messages and gave great recommendations on travel to / from airport and local restaurants. Our greeter Victoria was great and extremely helpful, both at arrival and departure. She allowed us to store our bags on our departure day as there was a gap between renters - extremely helpful and gave us additional time to explore the neighborhood. In all, a memorable experience and we would not hesitate to recommend to a friend and to stay again on our next trip to Paris! ##### Dan M. This was our family's second time staying here -just wonderful spot for those looking for something larger, and more comfortable for larger groups. The apartment is nicely decorated, very clean- and the neighborhood is getting more busy with cafes, cool places to eat, etc... can't recommend more highly. Caveat... it's a third floor walk up with winding stairs, and the upstairs bed rooms also require a walk up a narrow (and beautiful) circular stairway. Other than those considerations, do not hesitate to book here- it's wonderful- we will be back again! ##### William D. Be sure you are aware that it is located on the second floor up an old, winding and crooked staircase (this is detailed in the listing and we were prepared for this). Be sure you pack accordingly because large suitcases are a challenge to get up and down the stairs.My daughters loved having their own space on the second floor (& so did we). The 2nd floor is challenging to access with the spiral staircase and the rooms are very small (this is as described in the listing so we were aware of this prior to booking and were not surprised). The “attic” bedroom is accessed by a ladder in one of the bedrooms & is not easy to access, but an older child would probably love it (we didn’t use it during our stay). The large original beams, high ceilings and large windows made the space bright and open and authentic.The area is full of shops and restaurants, & does not have many tourists staying in it, so you get an authentic Parisian experience (although it can be a little challenging if you don’t speak French, but we made it by). It’s also located within walking distance of several Metro stations and also the Sienne & even Notre Dame.This was our first stay in Paris and while we were away from many of the “tourist” areas, we loved being able to have a complete Parisian experience in this gorgeous apartment. ##### Mandy H. Due to extremely hot conditions some rooms were uncomfortable for sleeping but we all made due. The street is quite busy but the courtyard side is more quiet to leave the windows open. I am in extremely good shape physically and found the interior rounded open stairway to be dubious. When my husband brought the luggage down I could actually see the entire thing move - quite scary! We stayed upstairs and barely had space to navigate. (Elderly brother-in-law & wife stayed downstairs which was spacious and lovely). Baseboards chipped off upstairs in places.
