Location was excellent with a lovely bistro across the street with a fantastic omelet for breakfast/lunch. Host was fantastic. Friendly and very helpful. Only one floor up with good solid wide stairs. Spacious apartment with easy one bedroom or two bedrooms. Loving room and good kitchen. Again, a solid rental that for us is highly recommended. Can't wait to rent again.

This nice, clean duplex apartment is situated in an incredibly convenient location. There are countless wonderful restaurants and supermarkets just steps away. Major attractions like the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay are within a pleasant, walkable distance—about a 30-minute stroll through the historic Marais district. Above all, the highlight of our stay was the host. He was incredibly responsive to all our questions about the apartment and the neighborhood, and proved to be exceptionally resourceful and helpful. Although there was some ongoing exterior wall renovation during our stay, it did not bother us as much as we initially anticipated. The host thoughtfully provided two electric fans—one for the downstairs bedroom and another for the upstairs living room. We were also fortunate that the weather in Paris was pleasantly mild during our visit. Finding an apartment with a bathtub has become quite rare in Paris, so we truly appreciated having one here, along with the convenience of a separate toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, and the washing machine’s drying function was an excellent bonus. We had a wonderful time in Paris and would absolutely love to stay in this apartment again!

Jonathan is a very accommodating and helpful host. Speaks wonderful English and helped with restaurant and market suggestions. Helped us with an issue even at 22:00. Apt is two levels-toilet, shower, master br all on lower level. Kitchenette, washing machine, living room and space to eat upstairs. Close to metro and nice cafes.

The host was great! He was very friendly and very very helpful! He made us a dinner reservation the day we arrived and arranged a taxi for us the day we left. He checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The location was very close to anything we needed. Notre Dame, The Louvre and the Bastille were within easy walking distance (1/2 hour). There was a subway station nearby. Along the walks to the Seine there were shops for everything imaginable.We highly recommend!

Good value stay for the price. Great location to canal restaurants and marais shopping. Place is on a relatively quiet street close to many ethnic restaurants and nice cafes and shops. The unit has an eccentric layout but still charming and cozy. It’s open plan and two levels so if noise and privacy is important take note. Definitely lived in feel not brand new or modern. The host was very communicative and friendly. Easy to contact and accommodated our slightly early arrival.

Wonderful stay in great neighborhood with helpful host!

Our group of four had such a wonderful stay at the Tropicool duplex! The duplex is centrally located, extremely well decorated (chic and a little quirky, with the bonus of many art books and theoretical texts in both French and English), structurally interesting (a double-floor window in the main bedroom, plenty of light in the entryway through a unique ceiling skylight), and helped us step into another world and feel like locals. The space was clean, thoughtfully stocked, and very comfortable. The surrounding neighborhood felt lively but relaxed, with easy access to shops, cafes, and transit. Chauveau is also generous and friendly: he provided everything we needed and was very communicative throughout our stay. We’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it wholeheartedly.
