It is located on the 6th floor of a stone building in the Saint Mandé area at the edge of the 12th district of Paris. The apartment basks in natural light, thanks to the full size windows and bay windows it is endowed with. It is furnished with minimalist but a-typical furniture and decorations On entering the apartment, one has direct access to the living and dining room. The living room is large and calm. The dining table comfortably seats up to 6 guests. This room has large bay windows and a large window. The leather sofa seats 3 to 4 guests. The room also offers a flat-screen television and a fireplace. The large bay windows give access to the terrace, which offers a lovely, breathtaking view over the forest. To the right of the living room, the corridor leads to the 1st bedroom, which offers a large comfortable bed for 2, a storage place, and a large window. To the left of the first bedroom is a beautiful marble-tiled bathroom. It offers a bathtub with a shower and a large vanity area. To the left of the living room, the corridor leads to the 2nd and the 3rd bedrooms. The second bedroom offers a comfortable double bed. It has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a vanity area. The third bedroom offers two single beds, a lovely wooden bookshelf, and a small wooden table. To get to the third bedroom, one has to cross the second bedroom. A curtain between the two rooms allows for privacy for the occupants of each room. The apartment offers a fully equipped kitchen, which also gives access to the terrace. The toilet is located in the apartment, but in a separate room. Note: The apartment is located on the 6th floor. This was the ultimate Paris apartment. Entire top floor overlooking a vast park. The building had a good combination of modern conveniences with character features. The apartment is pleasant and has a wonderful view over Bois de Vincennes (bigger than Central Park in NYC), with an east-facing balcony perfect for morning coffee. The neighborhood is quaint and well-heeled, with a few nice restaurants, bakeries, and cafes within walking distance. The metro is about a mile away but an easy walk, and there are busses as well. We went downtown on most days and it never took more than 30 minutes, door to door. We also cooked in a few nights, since there were grocery stores nearby and our young kids tired early after sightseeing (it seemed that most restaurants didn’t serve dinner until 19:00). The only inconvenience was that the kitchen drawers were rather cluttered with obsolete cookware and enough silverware for a small army (but not a single spatula). But otherwise the apartment was very nice, with plenty of room for the five of us and good heating, which we appreciated during a chilly and rainy week. The location in a quiet neighborhood abutting the Bois de Vincennes was perfect for our family; we walked in the park every day. The neighborhood was perfect for us, everything we wanted or needed was within a 5 minute walk, but it never felt crowded or loud. Communication with the owner was great/helpful, and the check-in process was easy. Would definitely recommend a taxi/Uber from the airport - it would have been much more difficult trying to use transit. The metro isn't far away, and you can walk through the park for 75% of the distance so it's pretty pleasant, and being on the 1 line means that you can get to central Paris without changing trains. We had some unfortunate timing - the apartment below was being renovated while we were there, and there were fairly loud construction noises starting at 8am every day and sometimes going as late as 23h. This wasn't too annoying because we weren't in the apartment too much while they were working. The bigger issue was that we were there during some very unseasonably cold weather, and heat for the building was not turned on until the day we left. The apartment was VERY cold on the first day and stayed cool the whole time we were there - the space heaters in the apartment couldn't keep up. Fortunately there were plenty of extra blankets, and we kept warm at night. ##### Joshua P. Some areas for improvements, mainly in small details ( areas where new painting is needed, some wall plugs not functioning, etc) While the locations is very nice and quiet it is a little bit far away from main attractions spending 30/40 minutes to get to/from apartment ( metro station 15 minutes walk + travel time) Lastly, one toilet for the size of the apartment is not enough ( it has 2 bathrooms with shower & sink with no toilet) ##### Hernan P.
