DO NOT PLAN A STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. House staff is non responsive and the in-house reservation process does not coordinate with hotels.com/Expedia. Very disappointing to plan a trip from halfway around the world only to find out hotel staff is unable to accommodate you on holiday.

Hi Alexandra, Thank you for your feedback even though you did not stay here. Please remember that your flight was cancelled that is why you were not able to check-in. So it is not true that we did not accommodate you and did not responded on you inquiry. You have asked for a refund but you were informed that refund is not possible. Since you insisted for a refund, you were advised to contact Expedia.

Alona Northland Resort rooms are basic and ok. The breakfast is limited choice. There two adjoining properties under construction, hence noise during the day. Staff are friendly, except one female staff member.

The staff are friendly and the food is good,the area is safe and very quiet I like it they have outdoor pool very nice ,the location is safe even in night time.

Very good stay - hotel is clean
Hotel is 10 minutes walk to Alona beach. Unfortunately, there is no shortcut to the beach so we have to walk around. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. We reserved the family suite and it suited us, a party of 5 + a toddler. The breakfast was ample and good enough, the swimming pool was also good and clean, and staff service was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good stay near Alona Beach
I stayed at the hotel for 1 night with my boyfriend. The resort is quiet and well-designed. The room is big and swimming pool is also nice. It located near the main tourist area though it is in a small lane with sandstone road ( hard to carry suitcase). Alona Beach is in walking distance. Overall, It was a nice stay.

Very nice hotel, clean and tidy ! The staff were welcoming and helped us when we had questions. The pool is clean and the hotel is well located. Only the drinks from the pool bar weren’t so good, but that’s a small detail. I really recommend this hotel as all the rooms are facing the pool and has a balcony so the view is pretty nice.

Nice and Clean. Staffs are very accomodating. Pool was cleaned everyday. Location is about 100meters to the beach which is not advisable if you are not fond of walking. But for us, we enjoyed walking on the way to the beach to look for stores nearby. No slippers provided. We have to ask for towel replacement even if they already made up the room. breakfast is typical. we will surely come back.

Superb staff, very helpful and friendly, was nice and quiet despite most of the rooms seemingly full we always got a spot near the pool when we wanted. Room was great very spacious only slight gripe was the slightly blocked drain in the bathroom basin and it did smell somewhat of drains in the bathroom. Prices were good for food and drinks and they very kindly sorted us a takeout breakfast on one of the days we were leaving for a trip before breakfast. Good location, not as close to the beach as it looks on the map but still only a 10 minute walk.

Fooled by location
We booked the resort mainly due to its proximity to the beach. It wasn't until we arrived that we were told that you had to walk the long way around to the beach as there was a private resort we must pay to cut through to go directly to the beach. Instead of what looked like a 3 minute walk it was more like 10 minutes. Location: Other than what I stated above it was in close proximity to the main shops in Alona Beach and was quite convenient. It is on the end of a very dodgy looking gravel side road which was not very pleasant when traveling by foot to the shops/beach. Facilities: The pool was well maintained and kept clean. There was however, a general smell of chlorine throughout the resort. Poolside bar was cheap and nice, but the service was VERY slow. Rooms: The bathroom smelt very bad and we had to get it cleaned again right after we checked in. The bathroom itself was generally clean but there was a nasty scent like cat urine throughout the bathroom. Even if cleaned every day, towards the night the smell would come back. It seemed like it may have been a sewerage related issue. We had friends staying in other rooms in the resort who did not have these issues. The rooms were generally well maintained but not as clean as I would have liked. There was dead bugs and hair scattered in corners of the rooms and inside the provided wardrobes etc. The beds were not fancy but was quite comfortable.

Nice quiet hotel. Friendly helpful staff
This hotel is small, quiet and good value for money. It's about 5-10 minutes walk from the beach but that's great, it makes it a quiet stay at night and only a short walk to the beach which comes alive in the evening. The only downsides are they do not supply hair dryers and sometimes the water would cut off in the morning but that's to be expected really for the location but the supply would return after a few minutes. But all in all we really enjoyed our stay here.

Great place. Best place in Bohol. Off the main road so very quiet. Great pool. Room is awesome. Lots of space. Best shower in the Philippines. Stayed here many times and will be back again.

Great property and staff
This property has amazing staff. Rooms are clean My only issue is with the 8am to 6:30pm construction next door to the hotel. If you get out and do things all day,you won’t be bothered but you can’t relax except on weekends. It can’t last forever so ask before booking We weren’t offered any compensation like we have at other properties when this sort of situation came up. Not even a free cocktail.

Nice hotel near alona beach
this hotel is quite good compare to its price! Staff are goods as well but the towel is provided only one (for each) a day and no amenities except toothpaste and shampoo. Except those, i loved to stay in this hotel :) Not that crowded and neat!

Perfect location.
Easy walk from the main drag and beach or super cheap tricycle if you felt lazy, it's tucked away so it's very tranquil. Clean and spotless rooms overlook the pool, it felt lovely coming back to it and the staff are lovely. Breakfast is good.

We had a nice stay in the hotel. It was secure, peaceful and we appreciated the effort the workers had put in the garden. The pool area was our favourite. We didn't like our room, as it was rather dark, uncomfortable and not cozy at all. Luckily we had a nice terrace to hang out, but we never used our room to spend spare time, it just had a function of sleeping. Staff was rather helpful and friendly which made our stay more plesant.

Average hotel with rude front desk
Location isn't great to reach the beach. Room size is fine, although some nuisances like hot water not always been available, the door a bit difficult to lock because in need of repair etc. Mostly the front desk has an employee with a negative and confrontational attitude. This was particularly annoying when it came to discussing an issue. Although on the specific issue I did not expect a full resolution, I also didn't anticipate such a confrontational and poor attitude from the lady who's at the front desk and the management. It was very unpleasant and definitely worsened the overall experience. They really should learn how to deal with the customer and show more commitment to help him instead of just telling him in a slightly arrogant way, these are the rules, that's none of our business, as if your satisfaction does not matter at all to them.

A nice resort, have clean and big room. Location also great, walk to Alona Beach only 5-6 minutes. Since the resort locate in nature, there are some bugs will visit the room sometimes.

not to far from beach
The location is ideal. Not to far from Beach and not to far from the strip. The staff and the pool are the best. I thought the wifi was a little weak but out by the pool and in the lobby it was fiine. The restaurant is nice also there is a real nice one just outside the gate.

Nice clean hotel, but 15 min. walk to Alona beach
It is a nice and clean hotel. The restaurant is not very good. It may be better to eat out. You need to walk 15 minutes to get to the center of Alona beach area. WiFi is hopelessly slow wherever you are in the hotel.

Nice hotel for family
The hotel is not beachfront which is the big downside, but a 8min to the beach. But the overall facilities of the hotel is great. You can cook your food, there is fridge and pool perfectly located at the center of the hotel. Its budget hotel but if it was a beachfront, I would give it a perfect score.

Great hidden gem close to beach
Great hotel with an excellent pool and gardens. Hotel staff are very accommodating helping with airport transfers. Rooms are very nice and clean with great bathrooms. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk to the resort and another couple of minutes to the beach.
