Facing south east, next to Mar park (parc de la mar). Ideally situated in the heart of the old town of Palma. In the Calatrava neighbourhood (d'alt murada), One of the most peaceful and most valued areas of the island because of its location, as well as its historic character. Recently restored and completely furnished with furniture and luxury accessories, (WI-Fi Internet, IPod base, Satellite television, DVD movie selection etc). Very close to the new Congress Palace, to the Cathedral, Arab Baths, Theatres, Museums, Art galleries and close to the most exclusive Palma designer shops. The flat is just within the old city walls, less than 5 minutes from the beach and very close to the cathedral and the centre. The hosts, Angela and Santi, were welcoming and thoughtful. They also were very flexible, accepting an early arrival and late departure to accomodate our flight schedules. The only drawback was that when we arrived, the taxi driver dropped us at the wrong address (Carrer del Mar instead of Carrer Porta de la Mar), causing a stressful delay. First the apartment is in a great area, the bed is extremely comfortable and there are lots of shelves and storage in both the bedroom and the bathroom to unpack and store your things- which is very rare. And the hosts (Santi & Angela) are absolutely amazing. Incredibly flexible and oh so KIND!!! My husband fell and had to go to the hospital and they came with their entire family to visit and brought some things we needed from the apartment. Completely above and beyond what was necessary, just exactly when we needed it. The only warning is that it is up two flights of very steep stairs, so it is best for those that can handle them. If you can, the apartment is great. Oh yes, and there is a washer AND a dryer!! A rarity for most apartments in Europe. Highly recommend this apartment. This is a wonderful apartment! It's nicely decorated, feels very spacious, and is extremely well-stocked. Some vacation rentals you're lucky if you get 1 roll of TP and a bar of soap. Angela and Santi have provided all the supplies you will need. Another bonus is an electric tumble dryer in addition to the washing machine. That's so unusual in European rentals. All appliances worked well and the bathroom had a great shower. The bed is extremely comfortable, and there's plenty of storage cupboards so you don't feel like you're living out of a suitcase. Another bonus is a smartTV so you can stream using your own Netflix or other streaming platforms. Fast dependable internet as well. The neighborhood is safe and easy walking distance to the center of town or to the water. Angela and Santi checked in with us periodically via WhatsApp and we always felt they were available even though we didn't need anything because everything worked really well. We would rent this apartment again in a heartbeat; it's that wonderful! ##### Gloria S. My wife and I visited Palma de Mallorca for a week and stayed in Angela and Santi's apartment. It was a real treat in every respect. Angela was extremely helpful in planning our arrival, providing clear instructions and promptly acknowledging receipt of our deposit. The apartment is a second floor (walk-up) in a lovely building just on the limits of the historic center of Palma's. The beach is within easy reach, as are all major monuments and attractions in this lovely city. The apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated. The livingroom is very welcoming, with exposed beams and a very comfortable and spacious sofa. There is a large flat-screen TV set with DVD player (which we didn't use much--we preferred to enjoy the city in the evening). The kitchen is very well equipped, with wine glasses, several small appliances (including an electric juicer, which we used to squeeze Mallorca's fantastic oranges from Soller), and a dishwasher. Washer and dryer are also an important asset. The bedroom is quiet and relaxing, with a very comfortable bed and two large wardrobes, and the bathroom is also very attractive, with a good shower. There are two air conditioners, in the livingroom and in the bedroom, and they worked perfectly. Everything was spotless clean when we arrived, and we were provided with extra towels, beach towels, as well as toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, and various detergent to keep the kitchen and bathroom clean. In sum, we could not have asked for more. The owners live some 15 minutes away and clearly look after this apartment very carefully. Die Lage des Apartments ist sehr zentral, man ist in wenigen Minuten an der Kathedrale sowie auch am Strand. Santi und Angela sind ganz tolle Gastgeber, wir waren immer mit ihnen im Kontakt und sie haben uns auch einige Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflüge gegeben.
