Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Palestina?
The best area to stay in Palestina, Huila, is typically within the town centre itself, particularly around the main square, Parque Principal.

This area is the heart of Palestina, where you'll find the most amenities and a good selection of accommodation. The Parque Principal is a pleasant green space, often bustling with local life, and it's surrounded by the municipal building, the church, and various shops and eateries. The streets immediately surrounding the square are where most guesthouses and hotels are located, making it very convenient for exploring on foot.

For couples looking for a relaxed and authentic experience, staying near the Parque Principal is ideal. You'll be within easy walking distance of local restaurants and cafes, great for enjoying an evening meal or a morning coffee. It also offers convenient access to local tours and transport for exploring the surrounding coffee region.

Solo travellers will also find the town centre a practical choice. It provides a central base for organising coffee farm visits or hikes in the nearby natural areas.
When is the best time to go to Palestina?
The best time to visit Palestina is during the dry season, from June to September and December to March, when the weather is most favourable for exploring the region's natural beauty and coffee farms.

During these months, you'll experience less rainfall, which is ideal for outdoor activities like hiking through the lush landscapes and visiting coffee plantations. The clear skies also offer excellent conditions for enjoying the panoramic views of the Andes mountains. This period is particularly good for couples looking for pleasant weather for romantic strolls and outdoor adventures without the interruption of heavy showers.

For solo travellers interested in the coffee harvesting process, visiting between March and May or October and December can be rewarding. While these are transitional periods with a bit more rain, you'll have the opportunity to see the coffee cherries being picked and processed, offering a deeper insight into the local culture and economy.

You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Palestina.
How much is the nightly rate at a Palestina hotel?
Prices for hotels in Palestina often vary, but you can find a great deal from £15 on Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for the cheapest rate.
