This is not a review for the amenities but a review to say how disappointing it was to have a phone call from the staff just a few hours before getting there to say that they can’t accommodate all 4 of us despite the fact that we booked a room for 4 (2 nights) . Not the best news around 6pm with 2 kids . The good part was that they refunded us immediately .

One member of staff, a bearded one, wearing a sweater, was so rude and obnoxious. A scary experience. On the other hand, the other staff members were kind and supportive I have to admit.

The hotel is a little dated looking but has a spacious carpark. Exceptionally helpful staff and a very decent breakfast. Room was clean with a good shower. Very well placed for travel into Ypres and beyond and was ideal for our trip.
