Though you could walk to Te Haumi beach, it would be dangerous on a narrow, busy road and you'd rather go to Paihia beach anyway...so you need a car here. It is right in the forest, as advertised, but the main road is nearby so a bit noisy. The driveway is intimidating but serviceable. All in all, a good value. ##### Julie H.
