Treetops was all and more we had hoped it would be. BBQ on the balcony and watch the sun go down. Spacious accommodation with lots of storage to unpack. Very comfortable and well equipped. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Only down side was we could not stay longer.

Excellent location just above the town giving sweeping view of the bay. Hosts Brita and Heinz were helpful and provided an excellent breakfast and always happy to give help/advice and tips of things to do in the area. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay in an ideal location for the bay of islands

Lovely quiet apartment just round the corner from the main Paihia town. Good beach in a few steps. Everything you could think you might need is in the apartment. Highly recommend.

Amazing value for money, everything was perfect. Spacious room with an equipped kitchen and bathroom featuring a rainfall shower head. Also incredibly friendly staff.

I am somewhat loathed to write such a positive review of the Breakwater for fear of too many of you booking a room leaving them unavailable for when I want to return, but as people have already said - this is a beautiful place to stay. The owner/managers are an absolute delight, from allowing early check in/out and offering assistance with 'must see' activities in the local area. I had booked into a room with an uninterrupted sea view (room 10) and it was by far the most superior accommodation...

We have extensively travelled throughout the world and at the price point this was one of the best motels we have so far experienced. We were made welcome when we arrived about 4 hrs before official check in time and shown to our room without question The owner was very helpful and spent time answering our questions on local amenities the room was well equipped and very clean

Superb apartment with superb views. Nice clean and spacious. Good location. Nothing wrong with it. Would recommend to anyone. Only improvements that can be done is providing toiletries like tissues and a bit more frequent servicing of 2 days instead of 3 days. But overall a wonderful property to book without any hesitation.

We really enjoyed our time in this comfortable apartment, which was very well equipped and set in sub-tropical planting to give a wonderfully relaxed and private feel. Wonderful place to stay, with extra touches to make our stay special. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, with a balcony offering beautiful views over Bay of Islands. Excellent location for getting to quay fir boat and ferry trips and within walking distance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. (Although the steep walk back up hill after a day out is quite tough...but view was worth it).

This place is fantastic, right across from the sea. Clean and comfortable.

This is a great place to stay. The amenities are very good and clean and tidy. Dorm rooms are comfortable but can get quite warm. Good location opposite the wharf and within 30 minutes walking treat grounds and other walking tracks. Staff are very good and informative and will provide you with plenty of help if needed.

A lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Great views from the spacious room. External tables could be power washed and TVs did not work well Very friendly staff and good breakfast

Lovely stay ! 5 minute walk from the main area ! Comfortable and spacious rooms with green all around as if you are in a forest ! Lovely staff at the restaurant and good breakfast too . The reception staff needs training as both the guy and the lady are slow and needed reminders for simple jobs ! Very casual behaviour at reception !
