The stay was amazing. Despite the remote location — you need to take a Grab to get to the city centre — the ocean view was absolutely worth it, especially for the price we paid. The room was clean, and the staff was wonderful. I would definitely recommend purchasing the breakfast, as it was excellent. We also received a couple’s discount when purchasing breakfast directly at the restaurant. In addition, we had an amazing dinner at the downstairs restaurant with a beautiful ocean view.
On the downside, be careful with the step when entering the bathroom. I also wish there had been more than just two bath towels provided, and another one placed on top of the toilet bowl. It would have been nice to have more than one bottle of combined hair and body wash in the shower as well.
My husband used the gym and mentioned that the air conditioning seemed to be turned off all the time — working out in a stuffy room without AC was quite uncomfortable. It also seemed like a very strong air freshener was being used to mask the smell.
Overall, it was a great stay, but there is still room for improvement.

Had a wonderful stay here and the breakfast was good. Swimming pool is also spacious. Only downside is the view from my room.

Had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The building is around 150 years old so don't expect modern amenities, but it has very good facilities nonetheless.
Staff were friendly and very helpful, room extremely comfortable, good A/C, good pool and excellent breakfast range. The free tour was a great bonus.
It's in easy walking distance of all the main sights in George Town and the area felt very safe.
Worth staying at the Blue Mansion just to say that you have stayed there. The fact it is also a very decent hotel in addition to being a top tourist attraction is the icing on the cake
