"Hotel is located relatively close to a public beach area and on long walking trail that goes from the Monterey Aquarium out to the point. About a 10-minute walk to some moderately priced restaurants that are very good. The neighborhood is quite cute with a bit of history Overall, the hotel is a little bit dated but undergoing significant renovations at this time."
