Looking for a spacious, comfortable retreat? The Nestucca Sunrise is the peaceful space you're looking for with lots of fresh air, private outdoor areas, and 5 bedrooms. This home has a large backyard and direct Nestucca River access via a flight of stairs down the riverbank. This property was previously used as 2 homes, so there are 2 kitchens making it perfect for a multi-generation family, or 2-3 families. Features: WIFI/Smart TV (no cable) Riverfront with river access via long stair down the bank. The nearest beach access is down the street to the "turnaround" beach, or the other way to Bob Straub State Park. Neighborhood: Sunset Avenue is a quiet street located between the Nestucca River and the Ocean that stretches south from the middle of Pacific City on the beach, and leads directly into Bob Straub State Park. A low bank sandy beach slopes to the ocean from the oceanfront homes. Also off of Sunset Avenue you will find what is commonly known at The Boat Landing, which along with a boat ramp is one of the best fishing holes in the area. Certain times of the year, you will find fisherman catching huge spring and fall Chinook Salmon. We watched the deer come up to the deck daily, pelicans fly in and out, landing in the river many times a day, along with the sea gulls. The house is set up a little strange since it can be rented as two. It has two kitchens which is always nice. It is a quick walk to the beach! The location was beautiful and the layout is not well portrayed by the photos. This is more like two houses connected by a locked door in one of the rooms. The cut through in a main room is awkward but there is a very convenient outside door between the two houses. The place is private and relaxing. The location ideal. The house was clean and easy to entertain ourselves with the deck BBQ. As others noted the big double wide bed in the cut through looked secured underneath by crates and is in need of a normal frame and bed size. The location is great being right on the Nestucca River and there are two entrance points to the beach that are easily walkable. Also, the house is only a 4 minute drive to Pelican Brewery, the grocery store, and everything that Pacific City has to offer. There are two reasons why I am not giving this rental 5 stars - 1) Three of the beds had sand in them upon arrival, which leads me to believe that the sheets were not changed prior to our arrival and the kitchen cabinets were dirty. I suggest the property manager make upgrades to the cleaning protocol in between guests. 2) I noticed shortly after checkin that the king bed was broken and not usable. I called to have this issue resolved and it was not resolved until the next day. The handyman's fix was to put a plastic crate under the middle of the bed for support and this, surprisingly, worked fine for our stay, however, I hope the property manager considers getting a new bed. ##### Steven D.
