This small holiday home is idyllically situated in the countryside near Oybin, a small health resort in the Görlitz district. You'll be just 200 meters from a bakery and shops, so you can enjoy fresh bread rolls every morning before starting your day of adventures. On sunny days, you can relax on the glass-enclosed terrace and enjoy the stunning mountain views.

Oybin is the only German town on the southern side of the Zittau Mountains, bordering the Czech Republic. It's also the terminus of the steam-powered Zittau narrow-gauge railway. Groceries and souvenirs are available in town, and for larger shopping trips, Zittau is easily accessible. There are several restaurants where you can enjoy typical Saxon and Upper Lusatian cuisine, as well as hearty Bohemian dishes.

Activities nearby: In summer, cycling, hiking, and Nordic walking are popular activities, while in winter the area offers excellent cross-country skiing opportunities. Due to its often gentle inclines, which nevertheless offer magnificent views, the Zittau Mountains are very popular with novice hikers and those with less stamina. Sights include: the Baroque mountain church built in 1734, the monastery and castle ruins with a museum and camera obscura, the Celestine monks' trains at the castle ruins, the half-timbered houses and the Devil's Mill, as well as the Oybin train station with a small museum on the history of the Zittau narrow-gauge railway.
