Within walking distance Oxford centre.

Room under roof eaves; too small to walk comfortably around end of beds without bumping head. No place for hanging clothes except back of door. Shared "bathroom" had a bath but no shower at all and no means of washing ones hair. Landlady was pleasant and helpful.

Close to Oxford City Centre

Posted 27-Nov-2017
Pros: Welcome by staff and willing to go the extra step, clean rooms, on site driveway parkiong
Location: Close to buses and trains to city centre and national rail service.
The Osney Arms is a comfortable bed and breakfast just a short taxi or bus ride from Oxford city centre. Clean rooms, friendly staff, very good continental breakfast.

A wonderful family atmosphere

Posted 17-Nov-2017 on Hotels
When we arrived at the Guest House, we were immediately greeted by Anne like we were family members who went to Oxford for a visit. Anne made us feel very comfortable immediately. When I got up the next morning, she had a birthday card and small cake for my birthday! This is not a regular GuestHouse, it is a family you are joining! Thank you Anne for your immense hospitality!

4.1 rating is too high

Posted 13-Nov-2017
it's a decent place considering the price, but is it a 4.1/5 hotel? i don't think so. facilities are dated, sometimes can be noisy. overall it's an ok place to stay, but it doesn't deserve such a high rating.

Clean and comfortable

Posted 13-Nov-2017 on Hotels
The entrance is a bit shabby and in the breakfast room there were things left around which really should have been put away (i.e. vacuum cleaner) but overall the place was clean and comfortable, and Marie was particularly friendly and welcoming. The room was lacking somewhere to hang things and electrical sockets weren't situated very conveniently for use of hairdryer etc. The home-made scones for breakfast were particularly good though.

A lovely quaint experience

Posted 13-Nov-2017 on Hotels
Hi we booked this to make a trip to the theatre a relaxing experience i.e. not having to travel home afer. The hotel is in a great location only 10 minutes walk to the centre. The place was spotlessly clean and hotel staff were polite and welcoming. The only thing I wouldn't do again is have a shared bathroom. Having said that, the bathroom was located right next door and we never actually saw anyone else use it (it's only shared with one other room). It was a lovely stay though I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer as the bathroom only had a bath and no attachments and when sharing you are conscious you don't want to take it over for too long so we each forwent having a bath the next morning but were travelling home so it didn't matter. Breakfast was a quaint affair with one big breakfast table for all guests (2 sittings - opting the night before for which one suited) but food although just continental was very good.

Walking Distance to Town

Posted 16-Oct-2017 on Orbitz
We only spent one night, but this hotel met our basic needs. Room was spacious and everyone was very nice, especially Maria. It was an easy ten minute walk into town. Parking was a bit tricky, but there is no charge for parking, which was nice.

Good B&B

Enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast. King size bed was comfortable (did make it tight in the room lol). Great selection at breakfast. Anne was sweet and friendly and answered all our questions. She made us feel very welcome. She was great! Walking distance to several resturants.

Convenient to walk to downtown Oxford

Pleasant Guest house close to the downtown Oxford and train station, on main road. Staff agreeable and friendly. Knowledgable about local events and transit
