The check in process and preparation for our stay was extremely smooth, thanks to Callie and the property caretaker Madi! They were both extremely friendly and responsive to any questions we may have had. The property was absolutely stunning would absolutely recommend this property for a group stay or your next event!
We really enjoyed our stay. Better than the pictures with much more seating in the living room and dining area than the pictures showed (there are 2 long rustic dining tables and a huge sectional couch). Perfect amount of space for our large family and friend group. We’d definitely love to come again.
My group of 25 friends have stayed for a long weekend every winter for the past 4 years. The grounds are great, the hot tub is wonderful. There will occasionally be wear/wobble on chairs and such but that is just what happens with furniture - and I can attest that since our last stay they've replaced the large sofa in the main floor living room. The sound system is great as well (though it does skip a bit on the balcony, we just didn't use those speakers). Incredible value, friendly caretaker, no complaints.
This is the perfect house for a large family gathering/multiple family gathering. Plenty of space and privacy for everyone We were busy with wedding activities at nearby Moonlit Ridge Estate which is just a few miles away.
This was our second stay at this beautiful property and we loved it just as much! It’s a perfect home for friends and family trips. The home is well equipped and super clean. Can’t beat the hot tub on the deck!
I had a wonderful stay at this house! It was spacious, clean, and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The peaceful setting made it easy to disconnect and enjoy the tranquility. The check-in process was smooth and very informative, thanks to Steve, who provided all the details we needed for a seamless experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable getaway!
Our large family had a fabulous time on the water utilizing the boats, dock and float. Beds are very comfortable and plenty of room for everyone with lots to do in the very private yard and water access. The large hot tub was a big hit, too. We plan to come back next summer. There are private areas as well as the large open living space by the kitchen. The dogs loved it, too!
This was our 3rd Thanksgiving here and as always it was wonderful. The house is very large but has a very comfortable homey feel. There is an outdoor area for the kids to play as well as a large area for an outdoor autumn bonfire. The hot tub has been upgraded and is large and hot. A great way to relax at the end of the day. Can't wait for our next stay.
This house was beautiful. Had a group of friends up for an atv weekend. We went to local tracks mx207, Hemonds atv Mx for trails and riding. The house was great for relaxing and had plenty of room for parking for trailers and trucks. Plan on renting again 100% you won’t be disappointed.
We were fortune enough to have our wedding here in October and it could not have been more magical, despite the crazy amount of rain. Callie and the property managers were so easy to get ahold of and quickly responded to any questions we had throughout the entire process. The house was perfect for fitting all of our close family and friends and provided the best atmosphere for our wedding weekend. Checking in and out was super easy. We already can't wait to book again for a family weekend or anniversary.
Moose Lake Ranch was absolutely fantastic! It was a surprise getaway for my husband's 60th birthday, with family and friends. The ice fishing was perfect, just steps from the house - large & small mouth bass & pickerel. Some old fashioned pond hockey too. The large hottub was a perfect end to being outside all day.
The house amenities were everything we needed - pool table, ping pong, theatre room and just sitting by the fireplace with lots of seating for everyone.
All of our guests raved about the place & location. We hope to plan a summer stay next!
Thanks Callie!
We had a magnificent time at MLR. We arrived on 1/5/24 and departed on 1/8/24...looking back we should have stayed longer. The accommodations were more than adequate. Everyone could find a quiet corner if they needed to get away from the family noise. Mother Nature blessed us with a beautiful 10 " snowfall, so we all went sliding on the hill in front of the house. Our kids created gourmet meals for us that were fantastic. And the caretaker supplied us with firewood, plowed us out and provided a tour when we arrived. We are already trying to
figure out when we can stay for a week!
This house is amazing. If you want a house with great amenities in great condition, this is the house for you. The host/caretaker were very accommodating to our needs. They respond quickly. The thing that stood out the most about the host/caretaker was their attention to detail. During the tour, the caretaker answered all of our questions about the house, and made himself very available. The house itself is AMAZING. It's so beautiful inside, and the attention to detail is spot on. We [very comfortably] fit 16 adult guys in the house and had plenty of room for more. The Kitchen has two large tables, and the common areas all around the house offer plenty of room for just "hanging out" Lots of wide open spaces. Luxury cabin feel is the best way to describe the decor. The land it huge, and plenty of privacy. The porch is huge, great for large family gatherings. The beds are extremely comfortable.I would love to come here again. Everyone I was with, who stayed at the house, also said they definitely want to come back.
We came to Maine for our daughters wedding but had a family vacation here beforehand. We all had a wonderful time! We spent a lot of time outdoors, from hanging on the front porch swing to relaxing in the hot tub and later bonfires nightly with s’mores! We all left with awesome memories!
Some things to note - there are two refrigerators however the water dispenser was not working so plan on bringing your own water. There are plenty of spices so no need to bring any. We often ran out of utensils (over 20 in our group) so plan on bringing your own plastic ware for meals. The dishwasher did not always clean dishes first time through. That backed things up in kitchen a bit as you can imagine.
Other than those couple of items we truly had a fantastic time! Thank you so much for the use of your lovely home!

Great Location & Large Space
Each year our family visits a different location in the area for a winter vacation. Moose Ranch was a great size for our large family. Lots of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space, or come together to play games and be together in the common area. The property was great with a nice sledding hill right outside the door, and we had a lot of fun ice fishing on the lake. It did feel like there was a need for some updating. The sauna gave us trouble along with the TV in the movie viewing room. It was nice to have two refrigerators, but both were missing a shelf limiting the space available. While the kitchen has the basics, it does feel sparse on large pans and spatulas and felt a bit disorganized for such a nice space and set up. The property manager Steve was easy to communicate with and helpful in every way. We were happy with Moose Ranch and with a little love and updating it could be amazing. We would definitely consider renting again and recommend checking it out if you have a large family of all ages looking for a nice amount of space with fun stuff to do right on site.
We had a wonderful family get-together. The property is amazing! It is very clean with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, many activities, good "community" space as well as private "get away" spaces. Saturday Pond is small but beautiful. We enjoyed all of the watercraft. Excited to be returning next year.
It was an amazing place. The pictures don’t do it justice. We rented it for a celebration of life and there was plenty of room. The doors to the decks are very hard to lock. The dishwasher is very old and missing a lot of pieces. And there is only air conditioning only on the main floor. These things would not stop me from staying here again.
Fantastic property with lots of quiet nooks, high ceilings, and comfortable living spaces perfect for our extended family of 30. Attentive and helpful hosts and tons of amenities and table games. We will definitely be back.
Our 7th annual ski weekend was perfect. We had plenty of space for our entire crew and every amenity we could want. The caretaker met us at the property and walked us through everything which was great. He was very helpful and answered any questions that we had.We utilized every part of the house especially enjoying the pool table, poker table, hot tub, sauna and the spacious kitchen seating. We can't wait to come back again!
