My girlfriend and I spent the weekend here for her birthday and had an absolute blast! The bedrooms have a direct view of the ocean! At high tide the waves feel like they almost touch the house! The water is just across the road (tiny road) from the front door and the view is totally unobstructed! We biked around the whole island but the house is on the best stretch! The bikes that came with the house were so nice to have! The house is tastefully decorated and offers tons of natural light and breathtaking views from almost every room. Lisa was an exceptional host, she made sure that the check in process was easy and went out of her way to help make sure I knew the ferry times and gave me advice about getting around the island (which is easy and delightful). She answered all my questions very quickly. And, saving perhaps the best for last, the location: just spectacular. The view is astonishing, and there’s a wall of windows in the front and you can sit and eat or work or hang out and just look at the ocean and nearby islands, it was magical. It’s right near one of my favorite spots in the island, a rocky beach where people make sculptures. It’s quiet and secluded but still an easy walk to the ferry and restaurants and shops. Owner was responsive to questions. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. They’ve made very good use of the small footprint so you can actually spread out a bit if needed. The kitchen is very well stocked and it was so nice to have high quality cookware to use. The house is close to the small road out front so you should feel comfortable with people (mostly walking, on bikes or in golf carts) just outside the house. It did not bother us at all and we actually enjoyed all the people that stopped to enjoy the small flower garden and the beautiful view across the road. Great location on the island - close enough to town but not so close that you are impacted by crowds during the busy summer season. A tip for future visitors - the hammock is in a bag behind a chair in the living room area. We had seen it in the photos and looked forward to using it. When we arrived and it wasn’t set up we assumed it wasn’t available for use. Not a big deal at all - just wish we’d known before the last day of our visit.
