"Wonderful stay - beautiful building and grounds and very helpful and pleasant staff who make you most welcome. Its wonderful that such a historical building is being saved for future generations to enjoy - local walks are lovely, and interesting to see the original buildings of the estate - ie Forge, Coach house, Farm, Barns etc still in use as delightfully renovated properties. If you play golf its an added bonus - golf course is amazing!!"

"We arrived around 14.30 ready for a 15.00 check in. As everyone was already doing the same thing we were asked to wait which wasn't an issue. We got a coffee and just waited. We could see others checking in but still we waited. A lovely lady called Emily came to us to check us in as we were near enough the last people. She apologized profusely for the delay but it didn't matter at all to us Because of the delay we were offered any drink be it hot or cold The room was very clean and comfortable. Could've have asked for more. We had booked to go to The First Direct Arena to see Billy Ocean so asked Emily if she knew the bus timetable.
