Very pleasant small hotel in a quiet rural setting just outside Bakewell with excellent views across the Derbyshire countryside. Room was very comfortable and appeared to have been recently decorated. Staff very friendly and the restaurant offered a good choice of meals at a reasonable price of good quality. Breakfast was also very good and really set us up for the day. For walkers there is good access to the footpath network from right outside the hotel and the river walk in the valley below...

Lovely area. Very scenic. Very old buildings so the decor reflects this, although nice modern bathroom & well-equiped kitchen. I enjoyed the pool - small but lovely & warm. Would stay here again.

Bramble was a lovely cottage for the 5 of us, very comfortable beds and quality fixtures in the bathrooms. Having the pool on site was great (although it does need a little maintenance). Overall great stay, hoping to come again.

The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

Lovely characterful hotel in a great location. We were upgraded in to a four poster room. Although the bed dominated the room there was still room for a sofa, desk and chairs. In addition there was a very spacious ensuite with a modern finish and great fittings. The staff were very welcoming and keen to help. The villagers of Pilsley were very friendly. Just up the road is the Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop which has a brilliant selection of foodstuffs for those wanting the odd snack, souvenirs...

Great hotel enjoyed our stay and food was excellent only small problem there was no lift.

We booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday , we wanted a relaxing weekend and the white horse seemed to offer what we were looking for . Right from check-in i realised we had definitely picked the right place . We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our room . We picked a junior suit and there was nothing junior about it. We found it big , bright and offered everything we wanted . Very clean and well presented. Staff at the white horse are fantastic, ...

Really lovely garden and well designed interiors. Didn’t like those hangers in the wardrobe that are a fiddle to take out and replace in their security rings.

Stunning location, Lovely bar restaurant, Nice food with a good drinks choice, Nice comfortable rooms, Great breakfast, Staff are friendly and efficient. High quality Inn at a reasonable price for what you get. Definitely would recommend and would stay again when back in the area.

Staff were extremely friendly, and my dinner the evening I arrived was delicious. I don't eat breakfast but the coffee was good. The setting of this place is just beautiful, I was sad to only be staying the one night.

Lovely room, perfect for relaxing after a day out walking. Chosen because it was dog friendly and it did not disappoint - good for walking into town and loved that there was a map showing us how to get there by avoiding the main road. Breakfasts were delicious! Thank you for our stay.

The hotel staff were so hospitable without being intrusive. The hotel was beautifully decorated, bed was quite comfortable and both restaurants were excellent. It is high on my list of places to return to again and again.

Absolutely lovely stay! The room was very nice and had everything we needed, there was plenty of tea/coffee and hot chocolate which was good! The garden and surroundings were beautiful and the breakfast was amazing!!!

From check in to check out the staff were fantastic, great atmosphere. Lovely staff, clean warm and homely. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.
