But if you’re looking to stay somewhere a bit out of town for good money this certainly is the place!!! This location suits the out door adventure types who want to be away from Otsu city. The lake was an amazing place to swim. What also would be a Great Lake side party atmosphere and relaxation with a group of friends. Amazing cleanliness despite the overall facility being quite old. However rooms and common room air conditioned which was a life saver in the hight of a Japanese summer. Upon arrival we needed to take a 30 min train to the grocery store, bought supplies for the bbq. When coming back we saw the sign that it’s ¥1500 per person to use them. Rip off. We cooked upstairs for free. The room wasn’t very clean with many hairs. The onsen had many hairs. The staff were not friendly or welcoming.
