The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The onsens were beyond par. The perfect complement when snowboarding Hakuba all day. It was an incredibly relaxing experience when coming back to our room. The amenities at this hotel were fantastic and our room incredibly spacious and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again. Overall I would say the location is very good if you are looking for proximity to a ski resort without the late night hustle and bustle of Echoland/Happo One. Tsugaike Kogen is a very beginner friendly resort. Also closeby to the Hakuba Valley Shuttle (7 min walk). Restaurant selection in the area is decent! The public baths in this hotel are relatively quiet during off peak hours and a nice treat after a ski day - but with the size of the indoor and outdoor baths I can imagine it can feel crowded once 6+ people are there. The rooms are a very nice size and very clean. Bed is a bit firm but overall a comfortable stay. Daily breakfast is nice and offers a small variety of foods - mostly Japanese foods but some western items as well (cereal, french fries, yogurt, bread).
