Had a wonderful stay at Castello di Ugento. The property is truly unique — a beautifully restored historic castle that feels intimate rather than overwhelming. The room is elegant and comfortable, and the atmosphere in the castle is peaceful. What stood out most was the attention to detail and the warmth of the team. Service is thoughtful and personal without being overly formal. The culinary experience is also a highlight — you can really feel the focus on local ingredients and quality. We were the last visitors of the season before they closed so the resort was very quiet. That said, the entire staff was fantastic, our room was very clean and very comfortable. The views from our roof top terrace were incredible too. Do your own research on local excursions. Although the staff made a big effort we had a few misses on recommended outings.
