They even arranged for our luggage to be transferred to Tokyo. As for location, the hotel is 2 little blocks from the main Dotonbori food/shopping area. That is, you are just a few minutes walk from all the action/noise. Such an enjoyable stay. We were in Osaka for 3 days, and the first two days made us think... um is Osaka an unsafe area of Japan?? Then we went to Shinsaibashi (only 10mins away) and it was SO much better. Dotonburi is nice, but it is so accessible so I wouldn't recommend staying 'close' to the area. Also, the staff are a bit clueless and not very good at English or communication.
