The entrance of the villa consists of a large and comfortable living room, with sofas and large TV. On its sides there are two bedrooms, one double and one single, each with its own bathroom. At the back there is the large kitchen, with a dining area with a large table, TV, fireplace and a well-equipped kitchen area (dishwasher and professional coffee machine). From here there is access to a further relaxation area, also equipped with sofas, TV and a large table, closed by windows overlooking the courtyard, equipped with an oven that can also be used as a barbecue. In the back area there is also another bathroom with anteroom where there is a washing machine and other services. Upstairs is another double room, also with a dedicated bathroom and access to the terrace, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the city and the surrounding countryside. The pool is wide and regular, and allows real swimming, as well as ensuring hours of absolute relaxation in the hot sun of Puglia. A cycle path connects the villa to the town of Oria (about 3 km) and to the nearby Sanctuary of San Cosimo. The location is strategic and optimal to quickly reach the most beautiful places of Salento and the Murge: less than an hour from Lecce, half an hour from Brindisi, 40 minutes from Taranto. And then Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica, all reachable with journeys between 20 and 40 minutes. You can naturally enjoy the beautiful sea that bathes Puglia, choosing along the coast that will take you to Santa Maria di Leuca, extreme point of the boot, between the wide and sandy beaches, predominant in the Taranto, and the striking rocky coast of Lecce. You can also choose between the Ionian, where the north wind makes the sea a perfect table and the sirocco makes them sparkling and rippled, and the Adriatic, where everything is reversed. In short, a holiday in Oria will have the only limit to always last too little to see the many places worthy of your visit. The beautiful town, the ancient capital of Messapia, then the Roman town hall, was the site of one of the most important Jewish communities in the south. Between the end of July and the first week of August, the town wears its medieval clothes, on the occasion of the Tournament of the Rioni, an exciting historical re-enactment in costume, with hundreds of figures, known at a national level. An ancient bishop's seat, you can admire an impressive baroque basilica with the crypt of the mummies and other splendid churches. Of great importance is the Museum of the Messapian religion at Palazzo Martini and the splendid eighteenth-century Montalbano Park, on the slopes of the Swabian castle. Das schöne alte Landhaus/Villa befindet sich nur wenige Kilometer von der historischen Stadt Oria entfernt. Wie die Meisten um diese Zeit gebauten Häuser, haben die Zimmer eine gewölbte hohe Decke und dicke Mauern, welche die Sommerhitze gut abschirmen. Das Haus wird überdies mit sog. Gebläsekonventoren gekühlt oder geheizt (die an der Wand befestigten Geräte sind sehr leise) und auch die Luft kann be- oder entfeuchtet werden. Auf diese Weise blieb es im Haus immer angenehm kühl bei der sommerlichen Hitze. Die Zimmer sind sowohl im eleganten Stil (Wohnzimmer) als auch im Landhausstil (Schlafzimmer und Küche) geschmackvoll und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Das Kinderzimmer ist einfach, aber zweckmässig eingerichtet. Da wir nur zu viert waren, waren auch nur die beiden Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss hergerichtet worden. Im Obergeschoss befinden sich nochmals zwei Zimmer, die auch mit Konvektoren ausgestattet sind. Es hat zwei Bäder im Erdgeschoss und ein Bad im Obergeschoss (eins mit Badewanne, die anderen mit Dusche). Sogar in der Waschküche hat es eine Toilette. Waschmaschine und Wäscheständer sind vorhanden und wurden rege genutzt. Die Küche ist für den Privatgebrauch zweckmässig ausgestattet mit einem grossen Kühlschrank mit separater Gefrierschublade, Gasherd, neuem Geschirrspüler und einer grossen stilvollen Kaffeemaschine. Hinter dem Haus befindet sich der 5x10m lange Pool mit Liegestühlen und Sitzecke bzw. Esstisch mit Stühlen. Eine idyllische Atmosphäre. Um das Haus hat es einen Garten mit Laubbäumen, Palmen und Wiese. Die Gastgeberin kommt regelmässig vorbei um die Bewässerung für den Garten einzuschalten und/oder den Roboter für den Pool laufen zu lassen (meldet sich jeweils vorher an). Das haben wir - während wir mit einem guten Buch am Pool lagen - selber gemacht; war nicht aufwendig. Das Auto kann auf dem grossen Vorplatz hinter dem Eingangstor geparkt werden, sei es unter dem Dach wo das Holz für den Grill gestapelt ist oder unter Bäumen. Wir haben beim Verlassen des Hauses immer die Alarmanlage eingeschaltet. Abschliessend ist zu bemerken, dass die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit ist und allfällige Fragen per Whatsapp immer sofort beantwortet hat oder auch schnell vor Ort war, wenn etwas unklar war oder fehlte.
