Great location! We enjoyed our stay, especially the location and restaurant. We had a double with private bath and view of harbor. The room was basic but clean with a nice water view.

Unique room layout. The restaraunt had a great wood fired oven to cook dinner. No in room toothbrush or combs. Have to go to the front desk. Property has rooms in different buildings. Kinda cool.

Amazing spot! Great rastaurant downstairs, make sure to try the food for breakfast lunch and dinner! The hotel store carries a lot of great local goods, and theres a bike rack for those of you biking through. Its right across the street from the port, so if you need to head back to the mainland, its super easy and convenient to hop on in no time.

This was the middle hotel on our 75 km Shimanami bike ride and we arrived very hot and tired. The room was not ready for us, but the staff happily took our bags so we could enjoy the town while the room was being prepared. Once we arrived in it, the room was a beautiful newly constructed all wood artsy dream place. Comfortable bed, beautiful, bathing facilities, and a woodfired restaurant downstairs that gave us an amazing meal, coincidentally with several members of the friendly staff whose company we really enjoyed. The hotel is very conveniently located in the middle of a beautiful island town with simple access to other restaurants, museums, and temples, shopping and a wonderful sunset beach Next time we do this ride, there is no doubt we will be staying here

This was an amazing find for a stop halfway on the famous bike ride . We stayed in the 4 person room which was capsule style and brand new . It was extremely comfortable with all of the necessary amenities and the shower had fantastic water pressure. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant served gorgeous food . We stayed one night ( 2 adults, 2 teenagers) but would happily have stayed longer

Location and staff were great but amenities were lacking. No toothbrush? Check-in time only between 4-8 pm? Property had no onsen? These are pretty standard items for Japanese hotels and for the price, they should have been provided.

The staff were pleasant. The room was down a dark alley and tricky to find. In a separate building two blocks from the main accommodations. There was a septic smell which took four hours to disappear! The room was unfinished plywood, difficult to figure out the heating system. Not impressed!

The location is amazing: right along the middle of the Shimanani Kaido and the island is very scenic. There is a Buddhist temple nearby that is cool to check out, if you catch it in the spring at the right time the Sakura blossoms are breathtaking. The laundry is convenient and it's a flat 500yen fee to use it, even if you do multiple loads. If you are arriving by car there's a free parking you can use. The address is in the check in instructions and it's a 2 minute walk from the actual hotel. Now to a couple nitpicks. There was a place to park my rental bicycle but I had to lock it to a stair post. It's not like there an actual bike rack. The door handles to the rooms are made of wood, which is a cool aesthetic but doesn't work as well as a door handle. It got to loose and fell out one time but I was just able to shove it back on and shove in both handles on each side of the door to tighten it up.

Located almost half way on the Shimanami Kiado steps from the sea in a quite little town. The room was minimal. The hotel doesn’t offer amenities and only two coffee bags and no milk. Checkin wasn’t till 4pm and after a long day cycling in summer an earlier check in would have been appreciated. What we payed for a small amount of time in the room was high. We also had a shared bathroom and toilet. The restaurant was underneath the rooms and you could hear people talking.
