Old Town Mombasa Holidays from £1,364

This is my second visit, very good all round, but they ran out of clean free water.

Even as a family of 5 we found our 3 bedroom sea view apartment to be extremely spacious and well-equipped, with en-suite shower rooms to the 2 twin bedrooms and both a dressing area and en-suite bathroom with separate shower to the master bedroom - there was also a full-sized kitchen, lounge, dining area, laundry room, separate WC and huge balcony with outside dining and seating areas. The room and hotel in general were well maintained by Kenyan standards and very clean - the only drawback was the intermittent hot water which is a common occurrence in the whole country. The breakfast offered a good choice of food and drinks, as did the 24hr room service menu, both of which were of good quality and value for money - however there is no alcohol available. The service was very friendly, although at times a little slow. We also ate at a couple of local restaurants but there isn’t a wide range to choose from - there are also limited services (ie shops) nearby. The pool is very spacious with very helpful attendants - however more sun-loungers are needed. The location is about 45 minutes from the airport and the centre of Mombasa but there are plenty of Uber drivers to drive you around.
