When is the best time to go to Old First Ward?

The best time to visit Old First Ward is during the spring (late April to early June) and autumn (September to October) months. These seasons offer pleasant weather with comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the area's outdoor attractions and walking through the historic streets without the extreme heat of summer or the chill of winter. The spring brings blooming flowers and a fresh feel, while autumn is known for its beautiful foliage, adding to the district's visual appeal. Couples often find these times particularly romantic for strolls along the waterfront or enjoying outdoor dining. The milder temperatures are superb for visiting local breweries or the nearby Canalside district, which hosts various events during these shoulder seasons. Solo travellers will also appreciate the comfortable conditions for independent exploration of the neighbourhood's art installations, architecture, and local eateries.

Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino

8/10 Good

"Room was a little dark especially where the coffee bar was set up"

Quality Hotel & Suites At The Falls

10/10 Excellent

"Cons: It needs some attention as a whole (specifically cosmetically, this place was very clean, do not confuse those two), it just felt very dated to be where it is. Pros: Clean hotel, clean room, friendly staff, complimentary coffee in the lobby around the clock, nice variety at breakfast, multiple restaurants on site + several within walking distance, luggage carts available, pool, hot tub, tourist-friendly, incredible location for the falls."
