"When we arrived, the room we had was awful, bathroom tiles/ grout were dirty and moldy. Toilet and sink were ok. Overall a dingy room. My friend went to front desk to see if we could have another room, she was told not possible, hotel was booked. We figured it just 2 nights, we’ll bare it. Off we went to visit Coimbra. Upon our return (6 hours later) we noticed the AC was not working. Went to front desk, let them know we had an issue, a staff member came up to room to see what the issue was. She was very nice but unable to get it working. Eventually we were given another room, much better and bigger,1 king bed and single bed. However the bathroom tiles were awful as well. The water pressure is great and the towels are thick and absorbent."

"Staff was very nice. This is not the easiest place to get to. Located on a narrow alley and parking is very challenging. It is also multi level with stairs. So if stairs are an issue, keep this in mind. Haven’t stayed at a split foyer hotel room before. But the foyer did come complete with a swooning sofa, TV and padded/quilted wall. A bit of noise but not what i would call disturbing. Quirky little place but we really liked it. Also had a HUGE hot tub. Breakfast delivered to your room; very nice!"

"May 11/26 stayed for two nights. Good location in the old city. Google Maps provided incorrect drop off location so be aware. Carpet was dirty but we wore our travel slippers, vent in bathroom did not work. Room became quite damp. Pharmacy is in a 200+ year old building. Lots of noise do wear ear plugs. Staff at front desk lovely. They have a small kitchen to make coffee. NO IN ROOM SAFE"

"We were told breakfast was not included in our stay, which ended up being okay as we had to leave before it opened. Staff was helpful with suggestions for places to eat and stored our bags until our room was ready. The view from the bar was great and they had just put out new furniture on the patio."
