• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before locking in your flight. Also check if there are any conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as installing a contact tracing app.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to adjust your mask for identification purposes.
• To reduce the likelihood of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the reader yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your pass directly to a TSA agent.
• You can take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. You'll need to remove it for screening.
• To minimize handling during the screening process, place items such as your wallet, phone and belt into your carry-on instead of into the bins.
• Separate any food you're carrying for screening. Food items often set off the alarm. Placing them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.
