An absolutely beautiful place to stay. We chose it because it wasn’t a long drive after a long overnight flight to Lisbon. Clean, comfortable, quiet and friendly! All the things that make for a lovely overnight stay! Would highly recommend. In walking distance to a couple of grocery stores, cafe, restaurant and the very famous walled city

We had a wonderful stay. The room with ensuite bathroom was very clean and nicely decorated. Had everything we needed. Right across the street there is a charming restaurant and bar called Infusion. The staff there was friendly and welcoming. Walking distance to old town, it was perfect… close enough and far enough. We highly recommend!

We were met by Francisco who told us that the house has been in his family for centuries. They’ve converted many rooms into guest accommodation and modernised but the vibe is charming. Room and bathroom were spotless. Bed comfortable. Easy walk to Obidos old city and castle. The location was quiet. Parking on site.

We loved our stay at Quinta da Campa. The baroque building is absolutely beautful. We loved the many sitting area, and the goats and peacocks. The fountain was stunning.

The owner (Francisco) was so nice and accommodating. All the power went out in Portugal for 10 hours so we could not go out for dinner or buy supplies. He and his family provided dinner and wine for all the guests. What a great stay. Their house is beautiful and has been in the family for 100 years. I would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. Don’t stay anywhere else but here! BTW the castle is awesome!

The staff at the property were very helpful and friendly - I called them to ask about a taxi before taking the train to Obidos and they provided several local taxi driver numbers for me. When I left, they ordered the taxi for me. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. They don’t provide full breakfast, but there are always basic pastries / coffee, tea and juice / fruit available in the communal eating area, as well as a fridge and microwave and kettle available for communal use. There is a restaurant/cafe across the road, and a supermarket within easy walking distance. Walking distance to town is about 15 minutes and not too difficult. If a taxi is required (eg if you take the train) I would recommend Taxi Arlindo +351 919 941 421

This place is a gem. Highly recommended. We truly enjoyed our stay here. We had a large room, very clean, heated. Management was friendly and amenable to our needs. The property is well maintained, newly renovated. We come from a city so we were thrilled to have goats, chickens and peacocks nearby. The place is a short walk from the Medieval Village. If you include a meal, all you need is 3-4 hrs in the Village. Start your day with coffee/Tea, snacks at Casa de Campo because the cafés are in the Village and they do t open as early as some like. Enjoy your vacation!

AMAZING FIND

It was an amazing find! It felt so peaceful and relaxing! They have a beautiful orchard with goats! The property was pristine and had beautiful antiques throughout! They are a 5 th generation family business! Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome! As a bonus they have espresso, tea, fruit, and cookies out all the time. You feel like you are home!!! Guests are welcome to bring food in and eat in the common dining area. This place was a treasure! We will definitely be back!

We sat in the dining room talking and drinking (what I considered to be a really good) complimentary Porto until after midnight. The building itself is straight out of another era with thick walls of rock but still with all the amenities you would want. This was the best stay I’ve had in Portugal so far.

Entrance to the courtyard/parking is through a very narrow gate. If your vehicle is exceptionally wide, you might have to park on the street.
