It has the charm of a small town yet has great city style conveniences. The town has many restaurants and shopping. Oak Harbor is a perfect jumping off place to explore the Pacific Northwest. You can go north to Deception Pass, Anacortes and the San Juan Islands and further north to Vancouver. South you can go to the lower Puget Sound and Seattle. East takes you to La Conner, Camano Island and Mount Baker ski area. West takes you to Victoria, Butchart Gardens and the Olympic Peninsula. There are great opportunities for fishing, hiking, bicycling and kayaking. Plus just relax and take in the breath taking views. Oak Harbor enjoys a wonderful climate.
