The room itself is kept tidy but the walls are mouldy and need a good scrub and paint and the bedding is really old and worn. But it failed measurably. The pool is more than 6 feet deep, its impossible to bath in the pool if you don't know swimming. Plus the bathroom's bathtub was not functioning. The water was not passing. This was the perfect place to do it. The private pool was amazing and I spent many an hour swimming in it and relaxing in the Bali hut. The staff were terrific, special mention of Putu in the restaurant. She was brilliant from day one, remembered my name right from the start and after one meal remembered my particular preferences and was ready and waiting as soon as I walked in. I also got the staff to try out making lots of new cocktails, which meant I got to try out consuming them.... I had a massage most days and they were very relaxing. Overall some much needed downtime was very enjoyable in this lovely place. The owner Peter stopped and had a chat over breakfast one morning which was great. Room was lovely and the villa pool area was excellent. Nice bathroom. The room and pool were clean. We stayed for 4 days which was enough. Good value for money. It is quite isolated so more suited to honeymoon couples. Biggest let down was the restaurant, below average.
