Find hotels in Nossa Senhora da Tourega from £33

The best area to stay in Nossa Senhora Da Tourega is generally within the rural countryside surrounding the village centre, particularly near Monte do Serrado de Baixo or Herdade do Menir.

These areas offer a tranquil experience amidst the Alentejo landscape. You'll find properties, often referred to as 'montes', set amongst olive groves, vineyards, and cork oak forests. The general layout is spacious, with a focus on privacy and natural beauty, making it great for those seeking a peaceful escape. Many properties are renovated farmhouses or estates.

Couples looking for a romantic and relaxing getaway will find these rural locations ideal. You can enjoy quiet walks, stargazing, and an unhurried pace of life. Many accommodations offer amenities like private pools, local wine tastings, and farm-to-table dining experiences right on-site. The focus here is on unwinding and enjoying the serene surroundings.

For travellers interested in exploring the region's history and gastronomy, staying just a short drive from the village centre provides the best of both worlds. You're close enough to easily visit the megalithic monuments like Cromeleque dos Almendres, or take a short trip into Évora for its UNESCO World Heritage sites, while still enjoying the peace of the countryside.

The best time to go to Nossa Senhora Da Tourega is during the spring (April to June) or autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer the most pleasant weather, with warm but not excessively hot temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the megalithic monuments and the natural landscape of the Alentejo region. You'll find the countryside is at its most beautiful, with wildflowers in spring and golden hues in autumn.

For those interested in outdoor activities like hiking or cycling to the Anta Grande do Zambujeiro or the Cromeleque dos Almendres, these months provide comfortable conditions without the intense heat of summer. You'll also find it's a good time to visit local vineyards and enjoy outdoor dining.

Summer (July and August) can be very hot, with temperatures often exceeding 35°C, which might be less comfortable for extended outdoor exploration.
