Top Northern Vietnam Hotel Reviews

Hanoi Royal Premium Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"I enjoyed my stay in the Hanoi Royal premium hotel. Is right in the middle of everything. You’re only about two blocks from the church."

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi

10/10 Excellent

"This property is next-level. From its history to its level of service, you are treated splendidly from arrival to check-out. An example: They noticed a wheel on my luggage that had started giving me problems and proactively asked if they could send it out to a local shop for a quick overnight fix that was very cheap and all arranged by them. My room was stunning and you should check out the free history tour of the bomb shelter adjacent to the pool. You must also try the Charlie Chaplin martini! Staff person Claire was so helpful and friendly getting me situated in my room and their traditional uniforms are so lovely. Also, opt for the breakfast bar at Spice Garden. It is so delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented!"

HOTEL du LAC SIGNATURE

10/10 Excellent

"An absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish! Everything about this hotel was top-notch — from the beautifully appointed rooms and excellent amenities to the fabulous breakfast and exceptional service. The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We had to check out at 3AM as we had a very early flight to catch and they were very thoughtful and packed us a really nice breakfast. A special mention to Rose and Chris, who were absolutely fantastic! The onsen was a truly unique and delightful experience, adding something extra special to our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience in Hanoi. This hotel has certainly set the bar very high, and there is no question about where we'll be staying on our next visit. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else! Highly recommended!"

L’HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was clean and very well designed the staff were absolutely lovely so polite and helpful. There was a great selection at the buffet breakfast as well as extra items you could order from the menu . Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in Hanoi close to so many things in the old quarter close to the lake and the French quarter and if you want to visit the modern part of the city it’s a short extremely affordable taxi ride. There is so much to see and do you will be well entertained day and night"

Peridot Grand Luxury Boutique Hotel

8/10 Good

"The hotel is situated in the heart of old town Hanoi. The room we had was well laid out and spacious. The roof top pool was a blessing to cool off in after the hustle and bustle of the city. The spa area; steam room, sauna had an extra charge, which was a shame. The rooms were a little noisy due to the proximity of the city traffic, but overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel if staying in old town Hanoi."

The Hanoi Signature Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is situated close to the old French Quarter on a busy intersection. It is within easy walking distance of St Joseph's Cathedral and Train Street. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a cool welcome drink and some snacks on arrival. The breakfast room was a little small and can get quite crowded, depending on your timing. The rooms are a little small, but then you are in central Hanoi and it was not a major issue for us."

Hanoi Lion Boutique Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good

"Staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Main foyer was beautiful 😍 Breakfast fantastic. Plenty of options. Room was clean. Only complaint was that the rooms are definately not as maintained as they may appear in photos. Bathrooms need some maintenance. Shower over the bathtub is hazardous to climb out of! Towels were definately clean, but we're worn."
