"Staying at this ocean cottage was wonderful. The cottage owners are warm and caring and take pride in creating a comfortable, thoughtful, and memorable experience. The cottage itself is beautifully maintained—cozy, clean, and perfectly situated just steps from the beach. Waking up in the morning and going to sleep at night to the sound of the ocean waves was restorative. What truly set this place apart were the little extras that made beach days effortless and enjoyable. The provided beach chairs, lush beach towels and beach umbrella were all in excellent condition and made lounging by the water incredibly relaxing. This is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with care, hospitality, and thoughtful amenities. We can’t wait to return! "

"This is a great place to stay in North Kīhei. Even though this area can get windier at times, it is a great central place to stay on the west side of Maui. We were able to enjoy sight-seeing all over the island without spending too much time driving (even our starting point on the Shaka Guide app for the road to Hana was around 25-30 minutes away). There were many shopping centers and eateries that were only 5-15 minutes away as well. We have used VRBO for various vacations and I have to say that John and Darlene have one of the best equipped condos. I am an over packer and was even more so when it came to staying at their place. We had so many essentials such as staple kitchen and laundry items, beach equipment, toiletries, linens/towels, etc. The condo itself is very clean and perfectly decorated to give you that beach oasis feel. Be aware that the building itself is a little older. The elevator was down for a majority of our stay but this unit is in the 2nd floor so it wasn’t a huge inconvenience.Darlene is the main contact when it comes to communication and she is great about responding in a timely manner, especially once your stay has started. "Parking was easy and secure. The kitchen had everything we needed and what it didn’t have we were able to get from the staff. Staff was excellent and very accommodating. However, this resort does not have an activities director. I tried to bring my nine-year-old grandson with me to yoga and was told he could not participate. The only thing they offer is yoga Monday through Friday and Aqua Zumba twice a week and there is no spa on this property. While Maui has always been a destination, I was disappointed in this property. It had been a property I had been trying to get into for several years. Once again, the staff was excellent property is well-maintained and everything was beautiful "

"We had a great stay at this property… again! Lots of room for our extended family and the private pool. The two fridges and well equipped kitchen made cooking for our group a breeze. Tons of beach towels and pool gear. 10/10 would recommend. "

"This was our second stay at the lovely property, Maui Moon. You will not find a better view! Menehune Shores is so well maintained, with a location that works well for us. This particular unit has everything one would need, is decorated nicely and the owner could not be easier to work with. We are hoping to return to the beautiful island of Maui. The horrific Knoa Low didn’t keep us away!"
