I was overcharged at hotel for hotel fees by $6 initially & when brought to the guy @ check-in he didn’t offer an explanation or try to resolve. I was informed that parking was $16 which was not on the Expedia website. So it was wan extra charge I was not expecting (undocumented fees) between the increase of the hotel fees & SELF parking fees it was approximately 1/2 the price of the hotel. Luckily the “hotel” fees were reduced on final receipt by Expedia. But the parking fee when I asked Expedia’s AI bot if there was fee parking it came back as “no free parking”, “fees for parking are $9”. Why such big discrepancies, no clue. Buyer beware. The reception guy was cranky & not engaging. I felt uneasy & unwelcome, despite my trying to elevate the mood by being pleasant & trying to engage in a friendly conversation, he did not shift his attitude. I was tired & had paid for non-refundable price otherwise I would have gone elsewhere. I was also a solo traveler this trip so felt uncomfortable leaving & trying to find another nearby hotel. Restaurant was ok, food was good but not something to write home about. THREE Staff were gathered at bar & not too attentive @ 1st. I had to request a menu to encourage them to serve. Server even tried to avoid eye contact by ducking behind the pillar. Yes the 3 will recognize who they are in this review as I jokingly said “guess I shouldn’t have sat behind the pillar”. My server (only 1 that didn’t duck) ended up being very attentive after.
