The view from the room was good. In places the property condition was not good. 1. In my room at the bottom of the window had many dead insects. 2 In one of the spas on the walls the paint seemed to have gone black in places. And in the outside spa there was a blue sheet up to cover a broken balcony floor and fence. The fence was broken, and there was a rope up to stop people going near the fence. 3 just outside the breakfast room there were some buckets down to catch the water coming from the ceiling- There was also a white sheet up. 4 after having breakfast I made my way out of the breakfast room and noticed that the room adjacent to the corridor, the tiles on the ceiling were hanging down broken and tattered. 5 The carpets were stained in many places. It was not cheap to stay at this well known hotel chain and I didn’t expect the property to be in this kind of degraded condition. This property is part of a well known hotel chain in Japan and I am wondering why the property has not been refurbished or some of the issues rectified. One of the hotels spas is a really pleasant onsen and the hotel rooms have nice views and the area is real nice, despite the property’s degradation I enjoyed my time there.
