"Hotel was locked and shut when we arrived. No answer to door bell or phone calls. Local pub across the road told us that it had been closed for a week or two. Great customer service to not bother to tell us that they needed to cancel our reservation!"

"Made last minute booking as car had broken down. Arrived at the property just before 11pm as couldn't find taxi and was REFUSED ENTRY. Even though I had paid. States on website open till 11pm with 24hrs desk. Unbelievable."

This is a budget hotel so it’s a no frills hotel. It was good value for the money and the staff very helpful and professional. For a short stay (one or two nights) in Newport we could not fault it.

Beds were comfy, room was spotless, the Coldra Court restaurants food was stunning! Staff were polite and friendly. Do think the parking should have been free for guests though.

Clean hotel, welcoming staff, great breakfast!

Visiting family in the area, would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff very welcoming and friendly, room was lovely and clean and breakfast was superb. They have excellent covid measures in place currently, brilliant! Will be using again on our next family visit.
