Serenity by the Lake a private and spacious fully self contained cottage situated on the water’s edge at Marks Point peninsula with breathtaking views of the lake during the day with magic sunsets at the end of the day.

* A well stocked and fully functional kitchen including filtered chilled water and ice maker.

*Generous breakfast provisions and juices. Country breakfast provisions includes bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, Helgas bread and baked beans. The healthy option includes muesli, yoghurt, fresh berries, fruits, eggs, avocado and Helgas bread.
*Chilled Chandon Brut is waiting for you in the fridge together with a selection of cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit and berries.
*Latissima coffee machine and a generous selection of Nespresso pods. We also include Campos coffee for the plunger and a selection of teas.
*Beautifully designed ensuite complete with overhead rain shower as well as the standard shower.
*Sukin range of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and moisturiser. *Quality fluffy hotel bath towels and luxurious bathrobes complete the experience.
*Hotel quality bed Linen is crisp white sheets on a super comfy queen size bed combined with stunning views of the Lake from your bed.
*Block out blinds for that sleep in.
*Kayaks and stand up paddle boards for you to enjoy, free of charge for the duration of their stay.

Absolutely gorgeous couples retreat

We had a wonderful stay here. An idyllic spot with black swans grazing just meters from the door. The place has been beautifully renovated everything is very new and clean. The hosts have supplied and thought of absolutely everything. Recommend this to anyone though the stair access would present a challenge for anybody with mobility issues.

Serenity by the lake says it all. If you're looking for a peaceful, private hideaway look no further, no need to leave. Everything you could possibly need was on hand. Leah's attention to detail shone through, from all the comforts to the stocked fridge and pantry the views were to die for. Not to mention the kyaks, paddle boards, we did a spot of fishing. Truly was a busy restful time away.

Perfect in every way

What an amazing little gem this place is, totally understand why it’s called Serenity. The place is set up perfectly in every way, warm, cosy & sensational views. It’s so quiet and private.The cupboards and fridge are stocked. You can literally rock up without doing a little shop before going there. It has everything you need plus more. A lovely kind host as well. Our last night we slept with the curtains open and watched the sun come up and then waited for the ducks to arrive for their breakfast ( always on time ) We’ll be back again and will recommend Serenity by the Lake to all. Wow!!

Thank you so much Leah and Dee for creating such a warm, welcoming and relaxing environment. The view, ducks, sunrise and sunset were enough to wow us, but it was the extra level of detail you go to which really set's you apart from the rest. We couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, it was absolutely perfect! The one downside would be the accessibility to the property being down a steep staircase, I would advise to pack light for ease of bringing belongings up and down the stairs, however, once you are down at the property, the stairs are instantly forgotten and Leah and Dee really go out of their way to allow you to just sit back, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We will definitely be back!!

Serenity by the lake is serene indeed

Excellent attention to detail. They have thought of everything, including the things I forgot such as a phone charger. Cheese, crackers and some bubbles really hit the spot as we sat outside watching those enjoying the lake. Kayaks and paddle boards meant we didn’t have to go anywhere and we didn’t except out for dinner. Our hosts provided a wonderful environment to relax and rejuvenate. The only down side to this property is the numerous flights of stairs to access it and is not suitable for those with mobility issues unless of course prepared to catch a boat to the private wharf. Which personally I think would be worth it.

The best experience for two kiwis that couldn’t go home for Christmas! Everything you could want and need, so much to do (and not do!). The host is lovely but leaves you to the bliss, could not ask for more!
