Sunsets to die for. Sleep literally 5 meters from the clear deepwater frontage great for fishing and swimming. Snorkel for a look at fish and old sandstone ballast from coal ships while eating oysters from rocks at low tide. Watch the sharp shells. (Water shoes, personal life vest, and flippers advised.) Walk the nature reserve and spot the swooping Owls. Use the kayaks and standup paddleboards while wondering if there is life on Mars! (Jetty is not our property.) Situated 1-hour 50min drive from Sydney on the beautiful Lake Macquarie. The amazing views are so close to the water! This is the family weekender we are sharing with you. It's not a fancy hotel, we use it too so expect lots of books, and games and maybe food in the cupboards for all to use, please. We also allow pets (as long as they are super well-behaved) but we have no fences so please no horses!
