The property is unique... very pretty and well taken care of overall. My shower kept flooding which i had mentioned to the front desk staff but no one came. So eventually i always showered with slippers on. They have wooden boards for windows which are aesthetically pleasing but not realistic for the amount of mosquitoes that swarmed my room daily. All they need are window nets. Would have been helpful and a WAY better stay. i also ended up with a spider problem (daddy long legs) all over my bed. I stayed in the premium cottage which is right next to the beach and bar but the noise level in the morning, sometimes as early as 8am with loud music wasnt a premium service that was justified to me, it wasnt the music, but the volume when one just wants to rest. We eventually worked it out. The food is ok... i think definitely more for a western pallate and not authentically Jamaican, but 7 mile has alot of options so i ate out alot.
I think they could do with having less chairs on their beach, but i did notice them being cleaned frequently so that was nice. Country country is cozy, would love to stay there again with fewer mosquitoes in the room and fair treatment for everyone. i wanted to play music at the bar around 9pm after they had closed the barand was told i couldnt do so, but then another group came in and played their music way past 11pm with no problem. I was a single female traveler and felt completely safe. And the staff are super friendly and helpful.
