Top Navelim Hotel Reviews

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful hotel with vast estate of well maintained gardens. Clean pristine beach right next to the hotel. Loved the room with the plunge pool. Staff were very helpful. Services were excellent. They even provided free taxi services from/to the airport! Brest was included and had lot of variety options. If you can afford then don't hesitate to stay in Taj resort!"

Grand Hyatt Goa

8/10 Good

"A beautiful hotel, exceptionally clean. A large wedding departed the day we checked in and another checked in while we were there. They book the majority of the hotel, so it does feel a bit like normal guests are surplus. Areas sectioned off, music pounding, wedding guests returning late at night, waking us. Our Air con broke, we told front desk, three hours later nobody had come, had to call again and someone was sent. Keys to our room stopped working so we were stuck in the hallway, again three calls and 40 mins for someone to bring new keys ( we were just out of the pool, so didn’t want to go to reception) My husband used the spa, which he said was perfect, but again, no one to help/assist on where to go once he checked in. Everything just felt a little like a battle, hiccups happen but it’s how they are resolved that leaves an impression."

Fairfield by Marriott Goa Benaulim

8/10 Good

"Facilities were good, clean rooms. Short walk to the beach. Cleanliness of the tables in the restaurant was not great (placemats were stained from previous guests and never saw anyone clean the tables with disinfectant between sittings). Would recommend getting breakfast early as when we went late we noticed that some food items were running low and not always topped up."

Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon, Goa

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at the Taj Horizon. Initially I thought I should have gone further South but once we got yo the Hotel it is a perfect location. The staff was incredible and there was always someone wanting to know how the stay was going and if they could assist with anything to make the stay even more comfortable. It was so nice of the hotel to also provide packed hot breakfast for three of us for our early morning departure. I’ve lived in USA 40+ years and stayed at many nice hotels but nothing compares to the hospitality and service you get in India. Hat’s off to all the staff at mostly all Hotels. The breakfast teams were great and so was the dinner buffet and staff. Thank you for the wonderful stay and hope to come again to Goa and stay once more in the Sea face rooms!"

Bogmallo Beach Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Couldn't fault anything about hotel, staff, amenities, service was amazing, second time we stayed here, requested the room we had before, they happily gave us that room, on arrival we got fruit, biscuits and cake in our room, signed welcome back on the cake, these gestures put a huge smile on our faces, much appreciated, will surely will be back, thank you for making it a great hoilday. All the staff was amazing 👏"

Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Staff were highly responsive to our needs and very helpful. Not everyone’s names are known but the accommodation manager Sylvester was exceptionally helpful as was Lita at Check out and hotel management. Pool is very nice as is the beach. WiFi can be difficult to connect to but once connected is very good. There are two restaurants, one North Indian and a larger restaurant where breakfasts and dinner are served. Food is good in both though waiting times in the Seagull restaurant can be long. If going for breakfast I would recommend going in the earlier hours to get a table quickly. Spa is good and the people are friendly. It is a very good location for families with small children and it is very clean. Good value for money and highly recommended."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Navelim?

The best time to go to Navelim is during the dry season, which runs from October to May, offering warm, sunny weather superb for exploring.

For those looking to avoid the peak crowds and still enjoy excellent weather, November and February are ideal. The temperatures are pleasant, typically ranging from 20°C to 30°C, with clear skies and gentle breezes. This period is superb for couples seeking a peaceful getaway and families who want to enjoy the beaches and local sights without the intense heat or the monsoon rains.

If you're interested in the livelier side of Goan culture, December and January offer a more festive experience, though it's also the busiest time. You'll find more events and celebrations, but accommodation prices can be higher, and popular spots will be more crowded. This period is suitable for solo travellers or groups of friends who enjoy a bustling atmosphere and don't mind the increased activity.

Conversely, the monsoon season from June to September brings heavy rainfall, making outdoor activities challenging and some establishments may close.
