"Arrived early, reception lady (dont know her name as she didnt introduce herself at all and her name badge always obscured by her hair), advised room not ready and to come back at 2.30 as room should be ready then. Came back 2.20 and was like never seen me before, no recollection skills at all and it is the quietest lobby in the world. Asked if room ready….”no not yet will message the cleaning staff”. At 2.50 another guest arrived, was greeted by her male colleague who said their room (exactly same as ours) was already ready and they could check in. I waited another 10 mins and asked again and was told yes your room is ready, she had not even been bothering to check even though we were sat in the lobby in front of her for 40mins and a room was ready already (not sure they are named individually to guests). We were only people waiting to check in and if i had not asked i think we would have still been sat there now, no effort and no customer service skills on her part and after checking in she then forgot to give me my passport back until we were leaving the building. Rooms well overpriced per night low season for a motel with some worn furniture and housekeeping that cannot seem to read the “please replenish amenities” card on door. Had to ask 2 days running. Key card stopped after 24hrs, same staff asked how long was i staying when advising her, i asked why room had not been replenished all day and told understaffed. Toenail from previous guests on room floor upon arrival."

"The overall location and resort are obviously fantastic, but the lodges both inside and out are somewhat tired. Chipped paintwork, dull scuffed walls, grubby sofa, carpets that look like they need a good clean or thrown away, all just a bit tatty. Our bathroom did look as if it had been upgraded as ours was excellent. The outside door to our lodge had a panel loose, didn’t shut properly (not ideal in bear country!). The grounds really needed a bit of tidying up, and the fire pit was a health hazard with broken paving and missing block work. The public rooms, ie reception, bar and restaurant were all of a good standard, the menu was nice but you do pay a premium for the privilege of eating there. Overall we loved our time here but felt the lodges let it down, ours was quaint inside but shabby (and not in a planned shabby chic way!). The staff were all young, enthusiastic and friendly."

"The pictures don't do it justice. The vacation, and property will be very memorable. Enjoyed the surroundings. Didn't have to go far to find things to do. Situated in a very active location. (Hike trails, Golden etc.)The Cabin had an amazing view of the mountain range. Personally we will be back."
