In Town Nashville Stay | Hot Tub & Walk Everywhere 1BR, 1BA

  • Enjoy the best of downtown Nashville, Indiana from Little Nashville Getaway, a charming one-bedroom retreat tucked along a quiet, tree-lined street within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, galleries, and entertainment that make Brown County's Village so popular. With a private hot tub, front porch swing, full kitchen, and inviting vintage character, this comfortable getaway is especially well suited for couples, small families, or friends looking to stay close to everything while still having a peaceful place to unwind.

Inside, the apartment blends comfortable living spaces with an eclectic collection of antiques, artwork, and nostalgic touches. The living room offers a flat-screen TV and a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests, while a separate sitting area provides a quiet spot for reading or relaxing after a day exploring Nashville. The sunny full kitchen offers plenty of counter space for preparing breakfast before heading downtown or enjoying an easy dinner at home, with two dining areas providing plenty of flexibility.

After exploring Brown County, return to your own private deck and hot tub for a relaxing soak, or settle into the front porch swing and enjoy the atmosphere of one of Indiana's favorite small towns. The bedroom includes a queen bed, TV, and adjoining bathroom, creating a cozy retreat at the end of the evening. Best of all, you can leave the car behind and walk to many of downtown Nashville's restaurants, shops, art galleries, and entertainment.

Guests love being able to walk to downtown Nashville while still enjoying the comfort of a quiet residential setting. The combination of a private hot tub, front porch swing, full kitchen, and charming vintage character creates a getaway that feels distinctly Brown County. Spend the day shopping, dining, hiking, or exploring—and end the evening soaking in the hot tub without ever feeling far from the heart of Nashville.

    Little Nashville Getaway...THE STORY...
In 1946, Agatha Roberts Reed moved to Brown County with her mystery writer husband, G. T. Fleming Roberts, the creator of the Secret Agent X series of the pulp magazines. Because of the resemblance of their home to that of the Hansel and Gretel house in an illustration in their small son's story book, Agatha and Tommy named their log home on State Road 135 the "Witch House." For years, Agatha entertained passersby with smoking dry ice on the patio and dressing up as a witch, thus becoming known as the "Witch of Beanblossom Ridge."

Agatha moved to the "Little Nashville Getaway," which she decorated with furnishings from the Witch House. These display her eclectic taste for bright colors and contrasting patterns and include some "witchy" touches. Agatha was a flamboyant dresser and was known for wearing a hat on almost any occasion...some of which remain at the "Little Nashville Getaway" for you to try on (with care!)

A unique tourist home in downtown Nashville

Quaint

Weird decor, house smelled like mildew air conditioners needed cleaned. They were very accommodating by giving us another townhome across the street while they fixed the issue and let us use the hot tub meanwhile.

Annual Girls Getaway

Love, love, love the location. Communication was wonderful and we felt if we needed anything else they would be here in a moments notice. We enjoyed the kitchen area and having a full size stove and refrigerator was great. The hot tub felt amazing after a long day of work. We didn’t have any issues other than we felt it could’ve paid a little more attention to detail. There was trash behind the pull-out sofa and several cob webs in the corners and on the lower shelves. We would definitely stay here again though!

Nice Little Getaway in Nashville

The rental process for this property was very simple. The rental agency sent needed information prior to our stay that helped us with check-in, check-out and our plans while we were there. The little house itself had the best of locations...within walking distance to everywhere in the little town without being in the busiest part of town. It was still a bit secluded which was nice. We would definitely stay here again!

Dragonfly

After an initial issue with a water problem and having to be moved to a different location, our stay ended up being very peaceful and just what we needed. Thanks for making it as smooth as you could have considering all the circumstances!

The best part of these accommodations are the location (walkable to everywhere), and always having a place to park. Otherwise, if you're planning on spending ANY time in the cottage other than sleeping, look elsewhere. Everything is old. The shower was calcified and we felt like we were going to break the handle anytime we used it. The speakers on the television were blown out. The hot tub was older and some of the jets barely worked. And of course they made sure to tell you that if anything was not in working order when you check out, they're going to charge you. Father Time is responsible for the condition of this place, no one else.

Bed too hard and sheets fragrance too strong

We have stayed here few years back. We checked to see if cabin had new mattress as the last time we stayed it was very old and we would roll into one another. We decided to give cabin another go with the information that a new mattress was purchased last year. Unfortunately the mattress is too hard. The sheets had the smell of an air freshener plug-in all night. I know it was probably the product used when washing but for people that have smell sensitivity this was too much. Other than those two things the cabin is two thumbs up! Really like location & condition of property.

Odd entry peocedures

My first vrbo. Roll out mattress was awful. Both my sons slept on the floor it was so bad. In main bedroom, it smelled like vacuum scents strongly! Too country.
