Property is outdated. No air con, no tv, dripping faucet. Charging hotel rates.

Hi Johan, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. The Naramata Centre is celebrating its 75th year anniversary this year. Rather than being "outdated", we like to think of Naramata as being out-of-time. Our accommodations are as they were when they were built: clean, well-maintained, simple. We don't have AC or TVs, and sometimes faucets drip, though we're quick to fix things when needed.Naramata is a peaceful paradise and the Centre is an oasis of shaded green spaces and easy access to the beach. We're not for everyone, but those who are looking to get away from all the crowds and truly relax into the place, spend time with loved ones, and maybe meet a few new friends, we're here for them.Hope your next stay is more to your liking,Sasha ViminitzExecutive DirectorNaramata Centre

This place is run by a religious cult community over 200 a night didnt even have AC ... two tiny gutless fans. Shows a picture of the beach, well the room was way far away from the beach. Asked for a refund for the second night as i couldnt even comfortably sleep and now expedia says they wouldnt make an exception and refund me even though they implied that they would. Guess their going to hell after all.

Hi Reanna, We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay. We have asked Expedia to approve your refund for your second night. The Naramata Centre sits on 17 acres of treed parkland extending from our East Courts, where you stayed, down to two beaches: Manitou Park, and Centre Beach, both less than 500 m. Our Maple Court and Cottage Court units are even closer, only half that distance to the beach. It's true, we don't have AC so if that's a must for you, perhaps we're not your place.Lastly, as to being a "religious cult"; the Naramata Centre has strong community ties to the United Church of Canada, one of the most liberal and progressive Christian denominations in Canada. Some families have been coming the Centre for generations and consider Naramata their spiritual home. Another thing we clearly are not is a commercial hotel. We are a family camp and retreat centre. Not for everyone, but those that love it, love it a lot.All the best to you and happier travels next trip,Sasha V.Executive DirectorNaramata Centre

The locks on the doors had just been changed and we had to ask for the sawdust to be cleaned up. When we asked it was done quickly. We would stay here again.

You have such a gorgeous property yet there appears to be so much unused potential. Like Robson House for instance, that would make a beautiful rental property, and the cabins behind Maple lodge 200. The serenity is absolutely wonderful. It is such a peaceful place surrounded by pure Okanagan beauty.

Thank you so much for your feedback, Teresa! This is our first summer really opening up to the public, and we are definitely exploring other options for our site. The cabins behind Maple Court (our Cottage Courts) are being lovingly restored as we speak! We look forward to hosting you again someday soon.
