Hi Johan, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. The Naramata Centre is celebrating its 75th year anniversary this year. Rather than being "outdated", we like to think of Naramata as being out-of-time. Our accommodations are as they were when they were built: clean, well-maintained, simple. We don't have AC or TVs, and sometimes faucets drip, though we're quick to fix things when needed.Naramata is a peaceful paradise and the Centre is an oasis of shaded green spaces and easy access to the beach. Hi Reanna, We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay. We have asked Expedia to approve your refund for your second night.The Naramata Centre sits on 17 acres of treed parkland extending from our East Courts, where you stayed, down to two beaches: Manitou Park, and Centre Beach, both less than 500 m. Our Maple Court and Cottage Court units are even closer, only half that distance to the beach. It's true, we don't have AC so if that's a must for you, perhaps we're not your place.Lastly, as to being a "religious cult"; the Naramata Centre has strong community ties to the United Church of Canada, one of the most liberal and progressive Christian denominations in Canada. Some families have been coming the Centre for generations and consider Naramata their spiritual home. Another thing we clearly are not is a commercial hotel. We are a family camp and retreat centre.
