"The view of Hood Canal was gorgeous! Took many pics from the balcony. Room was very clean and neat. Many towels. Cozy beds. Advertised amenities were all there. Plus coffee and shampoo. Updated color decor. Quiet. Peaceful. Relaxing."

"The staff was friendly, easy checkin- and checkout. Being disabled, we had a floor unit which was easy to manage. After leaving we noticed that my cane had been left behind. I called and asked about having it sent to me C.O.D., Management carefully located it, and returned my call. They sent it and did so without any charge. I greatly appreciate their kindness. Genuinely referring anyone that is traveling thru Shelton to book into the friendly Shelton Lodge."

"When we first showed up the owner came out and talked to us and he was very nice. Told us if we needed anything he would be next door. We got settled in immediately it was clean and beautiful, the site was amazing with a beautiful back deck that overlooks the water. It has a large kitchen with a dining room table and plenty of fridge space. The parking is right out front of the cabin, and he even told us about a trail leading down to the water. Would love to come stay again!"

"We were on a road trip and looking for somewhere unique to stay that wasn't a cookie-cutter interstate chain hotel. The McCleary Hotel fit the bill. It's a charmingly weird old place with lots of character. The room was comfortable, the shared bathrooms were clean, and the staff was nice. Can't ask for more than that. We spent the evening chillin' by their gas fire pit in the backyard, and appreciated the coffee and pastries in the morning. If you're looking for a luxury hotel with all the high-end amenities, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a genuinely unique place to stay and enjoy some living history, this is your spot."

"The cabin is as described. A wonderful escape from the city. We went in August and didn't catch any fish but we had a blast trying. We loved sitting on the porch with coffee or beers. The kids played all day in the lake. There were plenty of watercrafts to use and calm waters to chill in. I would book again."
