Cozy Woodland Escape in Hoodsport near Lake Kokanee and Olympic Hiking

"This place was amazing! Even better than we had hoped. The process was so easy. The hosts were quick to communicate when needed. The kids had a blast having a bunk house and basketball hoop. We had an amazing porch breakfast using the blackstone! It was just fantastic and stress free. Had everything we needed and it was so comfortable. GREAT game selection! We ended up buying one we discovered there! Also the pizza place in Hoodsport was fantastic. First time at Lake Kokanee, we have gone up to Lake Cushman regularly, but Kokanee was amazing. Great recreation area. Yes there is the little hum of the dam but honestly it did not bother us one bit. Quiet, comfortable, and a great place. Highly recommend."

"I loves the convenience of having just about everything right on the property. We loved the hot tub. It's the reason we booked the stay. Salt water is used for both pool and hot tube. It was excellent!"

"We were on a road trip and looking for somewhere unique to stay that wasn't a cookie-cutter interstate chain hotel. The McCleary Hotel fit the bill. It's a charmingly weird old place with lots of character. The room was comfortable, the shared bathrooms were clean, and the staff was nice. Can't ask for more than that. We spent the evening chillin' by their gas fire pit in the backyard, and appreciated the coffee and pastries in the morning. If you're looking for a luxury hotel with all the high-end amenities, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a genuinely unique place to stay and enjoy some living history, this is your spot."

"The view was amazing The place was reasonably clean and maintained but some deep cleaning is needed in places like window sills and corners. The couch and pillows are worn out and need a fresh update or cleaning. It was noisier than I expected but it is super close to the main Highway below and the traffic was frequent. In between passing cars, it was calm and you could hear the water lapping against the shoreline, which was so peaceful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and felt comfortable and relaxed."

"We spent just a night there and did not use the hot tub, but the water was warm and waiting for us. Cabin is large, with big fridge, but bathroom is small - I guess this was the design many years ago. Almost no staff is present. Reception does not exist so make sure you get your cabin number when you reserve it. We were fortunate to find someone in the laundry room since no cabin was assigned to us, and the guy was really nice and found it on his app."
