Over all experience was good. Only suggestion is it would be helpful if travellers are provided with shuttle service from bus stop to hotel. Though the distance is less, with thick snow, carrying heavy luggage is extremely difficult. Restaurant served excellent food however it was the only option available during our stay (end of March) and it was expensive and really not suitable for very young children. Also only one shop open with limited food options. Not so great for very small children- we could have purchased supplies to bring in if we had known. We found our stay uneventful. I have stayed at this hotel 4 times over the years and it doesn’t change so it is quite dated. There are new doonas on the beds but they are too thick for the heated room. Also, no descent lounge areas for relaxation. The breakfast and dinners were buffet style in a large cafeteria, with a very nice selection of different options each day. The semi-enclosed hot bath (gender segregated) was nice, though the view is restricted only to the very top of the tree line. The ski rental shop staff were very friendly and helpful, and the the facilities were nice. The ramen restaurant was great! Apart from the bath, there was really nothing to do, since the hotel is isolated, but that was to be expected. All three buildings are ski in / ski out, have rental equipment and lift tickets available on site, and provide a great launching pad for a great ski experience. We stayed in the west tower and enjoyed the onsen and multiple on-site restaurants.
