This is a lovely hotel. The pre paid for breakfast is not worth the cost though nor is the buffet. Decide what you would like from the full menu & choose from that. The quality & choice is far better. There is nowhere apart from your room where you can get any peace & quiet. Music & chatter or gaming noises are everywhere. Brilliant staff, very nice motel, have been travelling for 4 weeks so far, and this was the best hotel out of the lot. Good location, quiet, very helpful and friendly staff. 11 out of 10

Check in was smooth and I was offered a complimentary bottle of fresh milk for making tea in my room - that was a lovely touch! A great, well-run motel with excellent facilities. The only downside is that the mattress was rock hard and I didn’t get much sleep because of that - otherwise the Oval Motel Is great!

The room was OK although the window wouldn't shut completely. Not a huge issue but it was rather cold when we stayed. The biggest issue was that we were expecting to use the guest laundry facilities as listed on the hotels.com listing but unfortunately the hotel does not actually have any laundry facilities.

Modern, spotless, friendly staff and great value- as a 1 night road trip stopover.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at the Victoria hotel in Strathalbyn. All the staff we met went out of their way to help us. Our room was ideal for us with a light breakfast ( cereal, toast, orange juice tea, coffee etc) in the room & an excellent choice on the menu in the restuarant if we wanted a cooked breakfast. We wouldnt hesitate to stay there again if we were in the area.

Great hotel just opposite the ferry dock and handy for all town facilities. Staff very pleasant and room in good condition
